No EXN-F(10)2/2004.—Whereas the draft amendment rules titled “Himachal Pradesh

Passengers and Goods Taxation (Amendment) Rules, 2011” were published in the Himachal

Pradesh Rajpatra dated 13th May, 2011 vide notification of even No. dated 12th May, 2011 in

pursuance of the provision of section 22 of the Himachal Pradesh Passengers and Goods Taxation

Act, 1955 (Act No. 15 of 1955) for inviting objections and suggestions from the persons likely to

be affected thereby;

And whereas no objections and suggestions have been received within the stipulated time

period;

Now, therefore, the Governor of Himachal Pradesh in exercise of the powers conferred by

section 22 of the Himachal Pradesh Passengers and Goods Taxation Act, 1955 (Act. No. 15 of

1955) is pleased to make the following rules, further to amend the Himachal Pradesh Passengers

and Goods Taxation Rules, 1957 namely:-

RULES

Short title.—(1) These rules may be called the Himachal Pradesh Passengers and

Goods Taxation (Amendment) Rules, 2011.

(2) These rules shall come into force w.e.f. 1.7.2011

Amendment of Rules 9.—In rule 9 of the Himachal Pradesh Passengers and Goods

Taxation Rules, 1957, in sub-rule (8), in clause (a), for sub-clause (ii), the following shall be

substituted, namely:-

“(ii) Taxi Car or Jeep having seats upto six (excluding driver);-

(a)

Cars/Vehicles upto 1000CC

Rs.1350/-PA.

(b)

Cars/Vehicles above 1000 CC and upto 1500 CC

Rs.2400/-PA

(c)

Cars/Vehicles above 1500CC

Rs.2800/-PA
