vested in it under Article-243K of Constitution of India, Section 131 and 160 of the H.P.Panchayati

Raj Act, 1994, read with rule 12 and 22 of H. P. Panchayati Raj (Election) Rules, 1994, hereby

directs that the special revision of electoral rolls for the conduct of bye-elections to vacant

constituencies (Wards) of the office bearers of Panchayati Raj Institutions in the state and general

elections of four Gram Panchayats viz Jaban and Namhog in development block Ani and

Karzan and Soyal in Nagar Development Block of District Kullu(H.P) shall be undertaken and

completed according to the programme given below;

Further, in exercise of the powers vested in it under Rule 14(e) of the H.P.Panchayati Raj

(Election) Rules, 1994, the State Election Commission Himachal Pradesh hereby notifies the first

day of January, 2011 (01.01.2011) as the date for determining whether a person is qualified to be

enrolled as an elector in the electoral rolls with reference to which he/she is or is not less than 18

years of age on this date, for these bye- elections and general elections of the aforesaid Gram

Panchayat of District Kullu.

The Claims & Objections shall be received and decided even on holidays. After all the

claims and objections received during the period have been decided, the District Election Officer

(Panchayat) shall cause the draft electoral roll corrected and finalized in accordance with the order

passed by the Revising Authorities.

Any person aggrieved by the orders of Revising Authority may file an appeal against it to

the District Election officer (Panchayats) within seven days. The District Election officer

(Panchayats) shall decide the appeals within a week. After all the appeals have been disposed off

by the District Election officer, he shall then cause a supplementary voter lists to be prepared and

added to the electoral roll of the constituency (ies) concerned. In case of addition the serial number

to the new elector in the list of the supplementary shall be the next number of the main electoral

roll. In case there is no addition deletion, correction, as the case may be, supplement showing Nil

shall be prepared and added.
