NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers under sub-section(1) of Section 126A of the Representation of

People Act, 1951, and having regard to the provisions of clause (b) of sub-section (2) of the said

Section, the Commission hereby notifies the period between 8 A.M. and 5.30 P.M. on 30-11-2011

(Wednesday), as the period during which conducting any exit poll or disseminating in any manner

whatsoever, the result of any exit poll in connection with the bye-elections announced vide the

Commission’s Press Note dated 1-11-2011, from 12-Nalagarh & 16-Rainka (SC) Assembly

Constituencies in Himachal Pradesh, 41-Ratia (SC) & 47-Adampur Assembly Constituencies

in Haryana and 40-Laukaha Assembly constituency in Bihar would be prohibited.

It is further clarified that under Section 126(1)(b) of Representation of People Act, 1951,

displaying any election matter including results of any opinion poll or any other poll survey, in any

electronic media, would be prohibited during the period of 48 hours commencing from 5 P.M. on

28-11-2011, in connection with aforesaid bye-elections.

Pradesh is pleased to make the following rules further to amend the Himachal Pradesh Value

Added Tax Rules, 2005 notified vide this Department notification No. EXN-F(5)-4/2005 dated 2nd

December, 2005 and published in the Rajpatra, Himachal Pradesh (Extra Ordinary) dated 7th

December, 2005, namely:—

Short title.— These rules may be called the Himachal Pradesh Value Added Tax

(Third Amendment) Rules, 2011.

Amendment of rule 40.—In rule 40 of the Himachal Pradesh Value Added Tax

Rules, 2005, in the fifth proviso below sub-rule (5), for the figure ‘20’, the figure ‘30’ shall be

substituted.
