Shimla-2, the 8^th December, 2011

No.TPT-A(3)2/2010.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 41(13) , 65 (2) (K),

111 (2) (e) read with sections 211, 212 and 192 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, (59 of 1988), the

Governor, Himachal Pradesh proposes to make the following rules further to amend the Himachal

Pradesh Motor Vehicles Rules, 1999, notified vide this department notification No: 5-24/88-TPT-

II, dated 12th July, 1999 and published in Rajpatra, Himachal Pradesh (Extra Ordinary), dated 27th

July, 1999 and the same are hereby published in the Rajpatra, Himachal Pradesh for general

information of the public and a notice is hereby given that the said rules will be finalized after the

expiry of 30 days from the date of publication of these rules in the Rajpatra, Himachal Pradesh;

If any person, likely to be affected by these rules has any objection (s) or suggestion

(s) to make with regard to these rules he may send the same to Principal Secretary(Transport), to

the Government of Himachal Pradesh , Armsdale Building, Shimla-2, within the above stipulated

period;

Objection(s) or suggestion (s), if any, received within the stipulated period, shall be

considered by the Government of Himachal Pradesh before finalising the draft rules, namely:-

DRAFT RULES

Short title.—These rules may be called the Himachal Pradesh Motor Vehicles (First

Amendment) Rules, 2011.

Insertion of rule 47-A.—After the existing rule 47 of the Himachal Pradesh Motor

Vehicles Rules, 1999 (herein after referred to as the “said rules”), the following new rule 47-A shall

be inserted, namely:-

“47-A.-Late fee for submitting application for registration or renewal of vehicles after

the due date.—if the owner of a motor vehicle fails to make an application under sub-

section (1) of section 41 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 , or , as the case may be, under

sub-section (8) of the section-41 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, within the period

specified in rules 47 and 52 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, he shall be liable to

pay the following amount of late fee in addition to the fee specified for registration of

vehicles/renewal of registration certificate under rule 81 of the Central Motor Vehicles

Rules, 1989, namely:—

139-A. Form and manner of display of registration mark.—The owner of the motor

vehicle shall not paint or exhibit any particular other than the registration mark in the

Registration Plates of a vehicle.”.

amend the Himachal Pradesh, Local Audit Department, Section Officer Class-II (Gazetted)

Recruitment and Promotion Rules, 2009 notified vide this Department Notification No.1-58/69-Fin

(LA) Part (2), dated 6-11-2009, namely:—

Short title and Commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Himachal

Pradesh, Local Audit Department, Section Officer Class-II (Gazetted) Recruitment and Promotion

(First Amendment) Rules, 2011.

These rules shall come into force from the date of publication in the Rajpatra,

Himachal Pradesh.

Amendment of column 4 of Annexure-‘A’.—In Annexure-“A” to the Himachal

Pradesh, Local Audit Department, Section Officer Class-II (Gazetted) Recruitment and Promotion

Rules, 2009.

For the existing provisions against column No.4, the following shall be substituted,

namely:—
