Brief Description and scope:
During the 11th Five Year Plan, GoI has reintroduced R-APDRP (Restructured
Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme with revised terms and conditions. The
R-APDRP primarily aims at reducing (AT & C) Aggregate Technical and Commercial losses in
urban areas. It is a necessary condition of the scheme that the utilities would need to demonstrate
performance improvement for availing financial benefits provided under the scheme. This would
require collection of accurate data and measurement of loss reduction performance. Data integrity
and performance measurement pose many challenges for the state power utilities. This problem can
be surmounted only by (i) setting up reliable and “No Manual Touch” Systems for data collection
and (ii) adoption of information technology in the areas of energy accounting.
It based systems and solutions that measure the loss levels reliably will be essential before
regular distribution strengthening projects are implemented under the next phase of R-APDRP.
Once the benefits of the investments are measured, the investments would justify themselves.
The R-APDRP (Part-B) program will cover towns and cities of urban areas with population
of more than 30,000 (10,000 in case of special category states).
The present demand of the town is nearly 90MW. The 60-65 MW diversified demand is
delivered through 33KV system and rest 20MW from 66/15KV system and 5MW from 15/22KV
Sub-Station Mashobra which is being fed from 22KV supply from 66/22KV, 18.9 MVA Sub-
Station Gumma. The existing 33 KV ring from Jutogh -Ashwani Khad-Maliana –Bharari -Jutogh is
fully overloaded and hence resulting huge losses in the system. Due to lengthy feeder and scattered
area the voltage regulation is poor, due to which there is low voltage problem. In addition there is
coming a quantum of load from I&PH & MMDC. In order to alleviate the low voltage problem
and to supply quality & reliable power to the consumer following 33/11KV Sub-Station along with
33KV lines are proposed to be constructed i.e. 33/11KV, 2x6.3MVA Sub-Station at Taradevi,
33/11 KV, 1x6.3 MVA and 33/22KV, 1x3.15 MVA Sub-Station at Bhattakuffer, 33/11KV,

scheme. The following villages shall fall enroute of proposed 33KV line:—
