THE HIMACHAL PRADESH NURSES REGISTRATION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2012
(AS ASSENTED TO BY THE GOVERNOR ON 21ST MAY, 2012)

ACT
further to amend the Himachal Pradesh Nurses Registration Act, 1977 (Act No. 15 of 1978).
BE it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh in the Sixty-third Year of
the Republic of India as follows :—
1.
Short title.—This Act may be called the Himachal Pradesh Nurses Registration
(Amendment) Act, 2012.
2.
Amendment of section 22.—In section 22 of the Himachal Pradesh Nurses
Registration Act, 1977 (hereinafter referred to as the “principal Act”), in sub-sections (1) and (2),
for the words “fifty” and “two hundred and fifty” whenever these occur, the words “ten thousand”
and “twenty thousand” shall respectively be substituted.
3.
Amendment of section 29.—In section 29 of the principal Act, for the words “three
hundred”, the words “twenty five thousand” shall be substituted.
4.
Amendment of section 30.—In section 30 of the principal Act, for the words “two
hundred and fifty rupees in the case of first offence and for a second or any subsequent offence to a
fine not exceeding five hundred rupees or imprisonment of either description for six months”, the
words “ten thousand rupees in the case of first offence and for a second or any subsequent offence
to a fine not exceeding twenty five thousand rupees or imprisonment of either description for two
years” shall be substituted.
