No. 12-14/89-Shram–II, Part-I.—In supersession of all previous Notifications and in

exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20 of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948

(Central Act 11 of 1948), the Governor, Himachal Pradesh, is pleased to appoint all the Judicial

Magistrates/Civil Judges in Himachal Pradesh who have been appointed as Commissioner for

Employee’s Compensation under section 20 of the Employee’s Compensation Act, 1923 (Act No. 8

of 1923) vide Notification No. 12-14/89-Shram-II dated 14-02-2011, to be “The Authority” to hear

and decide, for the areas within their respective jurisdiction, all claims arising out of payment of

less than the minimum rates of wages or in respect of the payment of remuneration for days of rest

or for work done on such days under clause (b) or (c) of subsection (1) of section 13 or of wages at

the overtime rate under section 14 of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (11 of 1948) to employees/

employed or paid in their areas including all matters incidental to such claims.
