Hotels and Lodging Houses) 2nd Amendment Rules, 2012 were published in the Rajpatra
Himachal Pradesh dated 13-07-2012 for inviting objections and suggestions from the general
public, vide this department notification of even number dated 12-07-2012 as required under the
provisions of section 17 of the Himachal Pradesh Tax on Luxuries (in Hotels and Lodging Houses)
Act, 1979 (Act No. 15 of 1979);

And whereas, no objections and suggestions has been received in this behalf during the
stipulated period;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 17 of the Himachal Pradesh
Tax on Luxuries (in Hotels and Lodging Houses) Act, 1979 (Act No. 15 of 1979), the Governor of
Himachal Pradesh is pleased to make the following rules further to amend the Himachal Pradesh
Tax on Luxuries (in Hotels and Lodging Houses) Rules, 1979 published in the Extra Ordinary
Gazette dated 18th March, 1980 vide notification No.EXN-F(10)5/79, dated 2nd Feb,1980
namely:—
1.
Short title, and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Himachal
Pradesh Tax on Luxuries (in Hotels and Lodging Houses) Amendment Rules, 2012.
(2)
They shall come into force with immediate effect.
2.
Amendment of rule 3-A.—In sub- rule (2) of rule 3-A of the Himachal Pradesh
Tax on Luxuries (In Hotels and Lodging Houses) Rules, 1979, (hereafter referred to as the said
rules) for the words “twenty- five” the words “one hundred” shall be substituted.
3.
Substitution of Form L.T. XII.—For the form L.T. XII appended to the said rules
the following shall be substituted, namely:—

No.EXN-F(1)-7/2012.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Himachal
Pradesh Value Added Tax Act, 2005 (Act No. 12 of 2005), (hereinafter called the said Act), the
Governor of Himachal Pradesh proposes to make the following amendments in Part-II-A of
Schedule-A appended to the said Act and the same are hereby published in Rajpatra, Himachal
Pradesh for the information of general public;

into consideration by the Government before finalising the same, namely:—
DRAFT AMENDMENT
After the existing entry no. 116 of Part-II-A of Schedule-A appended to the Himachal
Pradesh Value Added Tax Act, 2005, the following new entry shall be added, namely:—
“117. Goods manufactured by industrial units in Himachal Pradesh and
supplied to Defence forces/Central Government Departments/Central Public
Undertakings in the course of inter-state trade or commerce against certificate in
Form ‘ND’ issued by the authorized officer/authority”.
