Corporation Limited, as a Government (Private Limited) Company under the Companies Act,
1956, has already been established vide notification No. MPP-A(1)-4/2006-Loose dated 11th
September, 2008, orders for allocation of business to the Corporation are to be issued by the State
Government.

Now, the Governor, Himachal Pradesh is pleased to order that the Corporation shall be
entrusted with the following work/business with immediate effect:—
1. All new works of Sub-Station of 66 KV and above;
2. All ongoing works of Sub-Station of 66 KV and above;
3. All new and ongoing work of laying/construction of transmission lines of 66 KV and
above;
4. Strengthening/upgradation of all transmission lines of/ to 66 KV and above;
5. Formulation, updation, execution of Transmission Master Plan for the State for
transmission strengthening and upgrading of net work and evacuation of power;
6. All matters related to planning and Co-ordination of the transmission related issues
with CTU, CEA, Ministry of Power, State Government and HPSEB;
7. Planning and Co-ordination with IPPs/CPSUs/State PSUs/others Departments or
organizations or agencies of the Central Government and State Government and
HPSEB with regard to all transmission related issues;
8. Any other matter or subject that the State Government may specifically assign to the
Corporation from time to time.

No. MPP-A(3)-3/2003-II.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 164 of the
Electricity Act, 2003 and all other provisions enabling her in this behalf, the Governor, Himachal
Pradesh is pleased to confer upon the field officers of the Himachal Pradesh Power Transmission
Corporation Limited namely all its Sr. Managers, Deputy General Managers/General Managers
within their respective jurisdiction, all the powers for the placing of electrical lines or electrical
plants for the transmission, supply of electricity in the State from the voltage class of 66 KV and
above which the telegraph authority possess under the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 (No 13 of 1885)
