No. TCP-(B)2-3/2014(Rules)PO.—In exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to

Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor, Himachal Pradesh, in consultation with

the H.P. Public Service Commission, is pleased to make the following rules further to amend the

Himachal Pradesh Department of Town & Country Planning, Planning Officer, Class-I

(Gazetted) Recruitment and Promotion Rules, 2013 notified vide this Department Notification of

even number dated 2.5.2013 namely:—

Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Himachal

Pradesh Town & Country Planning Department, Planning Officer, Class-I (Gazetted),

Recruitment and Promotion (First Amendment) Rules, 2016.

(2) These rules shall come into force from the date of publication in the Rajpatra/

e-Gazette, Himachal Pradesh.

Amendment of Annexure-“A”.—In Annexure-“A” to the Himachal Pradesh, Town

and Country Planning Department, Planning Officer, Class-I (Gazetted),Recruitment and

Promotion Rules,2013,-

(1) For the existing provisions against Column No.2, the following shall be substituted,

namely:-

B.Tech Degree in Urban/City/Town /Regional Planning from a University or an Institute

duly recognized by the All India Institute of Town Planners, India.

Bachelor of Planning or Bachelor of Technology in Planning from a University or an

Institute duly recognized by the All India Institute of Town Planners, India:

Provided that preference will be given to the candidates possessing at least 3 years

experience in Urban/City/Town Regional Planning’s work under any authority constituted

(6) For the existing provision against Column No.15-A (II) the following shall be

“Contractual Emoluments

The Planning Officer appointed on contract basis will be paid fixed contractual amount

@ `15300/- per month (which shall be equal to minimum of the pay band+grade pay). An

amount of `459/-(3% of the minimum of pay band+grade pay of the post) as annual increase

in contractual emoluments for the subsequent year(s) will be allowed if contract is extended

beyond one year.”.

(7) For the existing provisions against clause (a),(c) and (d) of Terms and Conditions

No.VII of Column 15-A, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

appointee is satisfactory during the year and only then his period of contract is to be

renewed/extended.

The contractual amount of the FIRST PARTY will be ` 15300/- per month.

The service of FIRST PARTY will be purely on temporary basis. The appointment is

liable to be terminated in case the performance/conduct of the contract appointee

is not found good or if a regular incumbent is appointed / posted against the

9. The Employees Group Insurance Scheme as well as EPF/GPF will not be applicable

to the contractual appointee (s).
