The aims and objectives of these Potential Industrial Zones shall be as under:—
i.
To clearly delineate and earmark the areas as industrial zones or clusters in the border
areas of the State.
ii.
To identify infrastructural gaps in these areas in sectors like power, roads, housing,
social infrastructure development, Human resource development and other fields.
iii. To formulate comprehensive development plans to bridge the infrastructural gaps and
to create congenial investment climate for existing industries as well as industries
likely to be set-up in future in these Potential Zones.
iv. To ensure comprehensive development of the areas falling in these clusters so as to
ensure inclusive industrial and social development of whole of the area instead of
isolated development in few pockets.
v.
To clearly spell out other fiscal incentives to be provided to the industries in future and
to avail available incentives under cluster development programs of Govt. of India as
well as State.
