NOTIFICATION
Shimla-2, the 08th July, 2016
No. FFE-A (B)2-23/2010-I.—In exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to Article
309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor, Himachal Pradesh, in consultation with the
Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, is pleased to make the following Rules further
to amend the Himachal Pradesh Forest Department, Forest Guard, Class-III (Non-Gazetted),
Executive Section, Recruitment and Promotion Rules, 2014, notified vide this department
Notification dated 20.9.2014 namely:—
1.
Short title and Commencement.—(1) These Rules may be called the Himachal
Pradesh Forest Department, Forest Guard, Class-III (Non- Gazetted), Executive Section,
Recruitment and Promotion (1st Amendment) Rules, 2016.
(2) These Rules shall come into force from the date of publication in the Rajpatra,
Himachal Pradesh.
2.
Amendment of Annexure-“A”.—In Annexure-“A" to the Himachal Pradesh Forest
Department, Forest Guard, Class-III (Non-Gazetted), Executive Section, Recruitment and
Promotion Rules, 2014:—
(1) For the existing provisions against “Column No. 9, the following shall be
substituted, namely:—
“(a) Two years subject to such further extension for a period not exceeding one
year as may be ordered by the competent authority in special circumstances and
for reasons to be recorded in writing.
(b) No probation in the case of appointment on contract basis, tenure basis, re
employment after superannuation and absorption.”.
(2) For the existing provisions against Column No.15-A VII-(c), the following shall be
substituted, namely:—
“Contract appointee will be entitled for one day’s Casual Leave after putting one month
service. However, the contract appointee will also be entitled for 135 days’ Maternity
Leave, 10 days’ Medical Leave and 5 days’ Special Leave. A female contractual
appointee shall also be entitled for Maternity Leave not exceeding 45 days
(irrespective of the number of surviving children) during the entire service, in case of
miscarriage including abortion, on production of medical certificate issued by the
authorized Government Medical Officer. He/She shall not be entitled for Medical re-
imbursement and LTC etc. No leave of any other kind except above is admissible to the
contract appointee:
Provided that the un-availed Casual Leave, Medical Leave and Special Leave can be
accumulated upto the calendar year and will not be carried forward for the next calendar
year.”.

III(Non- Gazetted),Executive Section, Recruitment & Promotion Rules, 2014:—
For the existing provisions against Column No.4, the following shall be substituted,
namely:—
“Contractual appointee will be entitled for one day’s Casual Leave after putting one
month service. However, the contractual appointee will also be entitled for 135 days’
Maternity Leave, 10 days’ Medical Leave and 5 days’ Special Leave. A female
contractual appointee shall also be entitled for Maternity Leave not exceeding 45 days
(irrespective of the number of surviving children) during the entire service, in case of
miscarriage including abortion, on production of medical certificate issued by the
authorized Government Medical Officer. He/She shall not be entitled for medical re-

Physical Efficiency Test, comprising of the following qualifying tests shall be conducted in
the sequence given below.
The Physical Efficiency Test will be only a qualifying test.

“Written Test shall be conducted only for those candidates who qualify the PET as per
norms laid down in para-(c) supra. The written test carrying 85 marks shall comprise of
85 objective type questions covering English & Hindi languages, General Science &
Mathematics of Matriculation level; General Awareness about Forests, Environment and
Wildlife, General Knowledge, Reasoning and Aptitude etc. The duration of written test
will be 75 minutes.”.
