5 of the Himachal Pradesh Ceiling on Land Holdings Act 1972, the Governor of Himachal Pradesh

is pleased to notify that the additional land to be held by M/s Auro Dyeing Unit-II (A unit of M/s

Vardhman Textiles Ltd.) located in Mouza Dharampur and Dhakrumajra, Tehsil Baddi, District

Solan, Himachal Pradesh for expansion of bonafide industrial unit shall be exempted from the

operation of the provisions of Himachal Pradesh Ceiling on Land Holding Act, 1972. The detail of

THE HIMACHAL PRADESH MUNICIPAL CORPORATION (SECOND AMENDMENT)

ORDINANCE, 2016

Promulgated by the Government of Himachal Pradesh in the Sixty-seventh Year of the

Republic of India.

An Ordinance further to amend the Himachal Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1994

(Act No. 13 of 1994).

WHEREAS, the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh is not in session and the

Governor of Himachal Pradesh is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary for

him to take immediate action;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of article 213 of the

Constitution of India, the Governor of Himachal Pradesh is pleased to promulgate the following

Ordinance:-—

Short title.—This Ordinance may be called the Himachal Pradesh Municipal

Corporation (Second Amendment) Ordinance, 2016.

Amendment of section 6.—In section 6 of Himachal Pradesh Municipal Corporation

Act, 1994, in clause (a), in the proviso, for the words “twenty five”, the words “thirty seven” shall

be substituted.
