Dari, Uperli Dari Sidhwari and surrounding areas of Municipal Council, Dharamshala (Now

Municipal Corporation) were included in the Municipal Corporation limits vide Notification
No-UDA( 3)9/2011 dated 23-09-2015. After the inclusion of the above Gram Panchayats, the
Municipal Council, Dharamshala was upgraded to the Municipal Corporation vide Notification No.
UD-A(3)-9/2011 dated 5.10.2015;
Now, the Governor, Himachal Pradesh, in exercise of the power conferred by sub-section
(1) of section 143 of the Himachal Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1994(Act No-13 of 1994),
by order exempt lands and buildings in the newly merged areas of the Municipal Corporation,
Dharamshala from payment of general Tax for a period of two years from the date of publication of
this Notification in the Rajpatra, Himachal Pradesh.
The Governor, Himachal Pradesh is further pleased to order that resident of these areas shall
continue to retain their customary rights as provided in the WAZIB-UL-ARZ.
