Conservation Programme;

Now, in pursuance to guidelines issued by Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate

Change, Govt. of India in sanction order J-22012/13/2006-CS(W) dated 20-02-2017 & J-22012/

13/2006–CS(W) dated 17.03.2017 -4(iii) regarding above cited subject and letter number J-22012/

02/86-CS(W)–Vol-ii 006-CS(W) dated 15-02-2017-3(iii) & J-22012/24/96-CS(W) dated

27-03-2017-4(i) the Governor, Himachal Pradesh is pleased to constitute a State Level Steering

Committee on Wetlands under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, Government of Himachal

Pradesh for examining the action plan and review the progress of the activities taken under from

time to time in respect of Wetlands identified under National Wetland Conservation Programme, as

The term of the State steering Committee will be for three years. State Steering Committee

will meet twice in a year and review the activities undertaken and suggest measures for

conservation and development of the Wetlands.

The Officials members of the Steering Committee will be entitled to T.A./D.A as

admissible under Govt. of H.P. Rules/Respective Deptts./Institutions

The non-official members would be paid TA/DA and honorarium for sitting as per the

H.P. Govt. Rules as applicable in other Deptts./Institutions /Boards/Corporation.
