article 187 of the Constitution of India, the Governor, Himachal Pradesh, after consultation with the
Speaker of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha is pleased to make the following rules further to
amend the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Secretariat (Recruitment and Conditions of Service)
Rules, 1974, published in Rajpatra, Himachal Pradesh, dated 27th April, 1974 vide notification No.
13-2/71-GAD, dated 27th March, 1974, namely:—
1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Himachal
Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Secretariat (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Amendment Rules,
2018.
(2) They shall come into force from the date of publication in the Rajpatra (e-Gazette),
Himachal Pradesh.
2. Amendment of SECOND SCHEDULE.—In THE SECOND SCHEDULE appended
to the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Secretariat (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules,
1974 at serial number 28,—
(a) in fourth column, in clause (ii), for the figure, sign and word "10+2 qualification", the
words 'a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a recognized university' shall be substituted; and
(b) in fifth column, in sub-clause (ii) of clause (a) after the existing proviso, the following
proviso shall be inserted, namely:—
"Provided further that physically handicapped persons who are otherwise qualified to hold
