is hereby accorded, in terms of Rule 6 of the Jammu and Kashmir Street

Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending)

Rules, 2021, notified vide S.O. 29 dated 29.01.2021, for the constitution

of Provisional Town Vending Committees for the Municipal

Corporations of Jammu and Srinagar and the Urban Local Bodies of

Jammu and Kashmir, for a period of one year or until elections of street

vendors to the Town Vending Committees are conducted on the basis

of the survey undertaken, whichever is earlier. The composition of

these Committees shall be as specified in Annexures "A", "B", "C"

and "D" appended to this Government Order.

It is further ordered that all the concerned ULBs will get done the

character and antecedent verification of the nominated non official

members of the respective Committees on immediate basis. The

nomination of non-official members to the Town Vending Committees

shall be subject to the condition that, in the event any adverse report is

received against such member from any investigating agency, his/her

nomination shall be deemed to have been cancelled forthwith without

any further notice.
