Electricity Supply Code (First Amendment) Regulations, 2018

NOTIFICATION
The 8thNovember, 2018
Notification No.62-- In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (x) of
sub-section(2) of Section181 read with Section 50 of the Electricity Act 2003 (36 of
2003) and all power enabling it in that behalf, the Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory
Commission hereby makes the first amendment in Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory
Commission (Electricity Supply Code) Regulations, 2015 (Principal Regulations).
1. Short title and commencement:
(i)
This code may be called the “Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Electricity
Supply Code) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2018.
(ii) It shall extend to the whole State of Jharkhand.
(iii) This shall come into force with effect from the date of publication in Jharkhand Gazette.
2. Amendment in Clause 5.5.1
The following Clause is included after Clause 5.5.1 (c) of the Principal
Regulations:

“5.5.1 (d) Application form for release of new provisional electricity connection
(for load up to 2kW) – Annexure 20.”
3. Amendment after Clause 5.5.12
The following Clause is included after Clause 5.5.12 of the Principal Regulations:
“5.5.13 Provisional connection to an individual applicant who does not have any
proof of legal occupancy/ ownership of premises: -
The Distribution Licensee may grant provisional electrical connections, up to the
load of 2 kW, for single phase domestic or commercial category of individual
applicant, who does not have any proof of legal occupancy/ ownership of premises.
Provided that such provisional electrical connection may not be given to any
applicant residing on any disputed house/premises/plot/piece of land on which
there is case pending in any Court under republic of India and a restraining/
prohibitory order has been issued;
Provided that the individual has submitted acceptable proof of identity as listed in
Clause 5.5.7 of these Regulations;
Provided further that
(a)
Provisional connection shall not in any way make the applicant lawful
owner or occupier of the premises
(b)
Applicant shall not use such connection as the legal ADDRESS PROOF or
PROOF OF RESIDENCE, which shall be printed on the electricity bill of
consumer;”
4. Inclusion of Annexure 20
The Annexure 20 as provided below is included to the Principal Regulations:
