No. 03/2018/R&S -- In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 and 21

of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 (25 of 1955), and all other powers enabling in this

behalf, the High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi hereby amends Rule 10(1) of the "The High

Court of Jharkhand Hindu Marriage Rules, 2017" in the following manner :-

(A) Rule 10(1) of the "The High Court of Jharkhand Hindu Marriage Rules,

2017" is amended and accordingly the same be read as under;

"Whereby any party to a marriage desires to present a petition for divorce

within one year of such marriage, he or she shall obtain leave of the court

under section 14 of the Act on ex parte application made to the court in

which the petition for divorce is intended to be filed."

Aforesaid amendment shall take effect from the date of its publication in the

Official Gazette of Jharkhand.
