6नवा7चन क8 घोषणा आयोग के ेस नोट सं. ईसीआई/पीएन/102/2019, Aदनांक 1 नव, बर, 2019 के

वारा घो4षत क8 जा चुक8 है;

और यतः, लोक 6त6न1धGव अ1ध6नयम, 1951 (संJेप मK लो. .अ1ध6नयम, 1951) क8 धारा

126क के ावधानM के अनुसार इस संबंध मK 6नवा7चन आयोग वारा यथा अ1धसू1चत, इस अव1ध के

दौरान Qकसी भी कार के एिSज़ट पोल के संचालन और उसके पVरणामM तथा ऐसे एिSजट पोल के

पVरणाम के सार पर 6तबंध होगा;

यतः, अब, लोक 6त6न1धGव अ1ध6नयम, 1951 क8 धारा 126क क8 उप-धारा (1) के अधीन

शिSतयM का योग करते हुए भारत 6नवा7चन आयोग, उSत धारा क8 उप-धारा (2) के उपबंधM के

संबंध मK एतYवारा, 30 नव, बर, 2019 (श6नवार) को पूवा7Zन 07:00 बजे से 20 Aदस, बर, 2019

(शु[वार) अपराZन 05:30 बजे के बीच क8 अव1ध को, ऐसी अव1ध के \प मK अ1धसू1चत करता है

िजसके दौरान उपरोS त व]ण7त झारखंड के 4वधान सभा के साधारण 6नवा7चन के संबंध मK Qकसी भी

कार के एिSजट पोल का संचालन तथा 4ंट या इलेS^ॉ6नक मी`डया वारा इसका काशन या चार

अथवा Qकसी भी अaय तरbके से उसके सार पर 6तबंध रहेगा।

इसके अ6तVरSत यह भी dपeट Qकया जाता है Qक लोक 6त6न1धGव अ1ध6नयम, 1951 क8

धारा 126(1)(ख) के अधीन उपयु7Sत साधारण 6नवा7चनM के संबंध मK G येक चरण के संबं1धत मतदान

JेfM मK मतदान क8 समािgत के लए 6नयत समय के साथ समाgत होने वाले 48 घंटM क8 अव1ध के

दौरान Qकसी भी कार के 6नवा7चन संबंधी मामले का, Qकसी भी ओपी6नयन पोल या अaय Qकसी पोल

सवi के पVरणामM सAहत, दश7न Qकसी भी इलेS^ॉ6नक मी`डया से करने पर 6तबंध रहेगा ।

NOTIFICATION

18^th November, 2019

No. 576/EXIT/2019/SDR-Vol.I-- Whereas, the schedule for the General Election to the

Legislative Assembly of Jharkhand was announced by the Commission vide Press Note No.

ECI/PN/102/2019, dated 1^st November, 2019; and

And whereas, as per the provisions of Section 126A of The Representation of the People Act,

1951 (in short R.P. Act, 1951) there shall be restrictions on conduct of any exit poll and publication

and dissemination of result of such exit poll during such period, as may be notified by the Election

Commission in this regard;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers under sub-Section (1) of Section 126A of the R.P. Act, 1951,

the Election Commission, having regard to the provisions of sub-Section (2) of the said Section, hereby notifies

the period between 7.00 A.M on 30^th November, 2019 (Saturday) and 5:30 PM on 20^th December, 2019

(Friday) as the period during which conducting any exit poll and publishing or publicizing by means of the

print or electronic media or dissemination in any other manner whatsoever, the result of any exit poll in

connection with the above mentioned General Election to the State Legislative Assembly of Jharkhand,

shall be prohibited.

It is further clarified that under Section 126(1)(b) of the R.P. Act, 1951, displaying any election

matter including results of any opinion poll or any other poll survey, in any electronic media, would be

prohibited during the period of 48 hours ending with the hours fixed for conclusion of poll in the

respective polling areas in each phase of the aforesaid General election.
