(मंगलवार) से पूव+ रा- य क. /वधान सभा म2 हुई उD त =रिDत को भरने के योजन से एक V यिDत 3नवा+6चत कर2;

NOTIFICATION

23^rd March, 2021/2 Chaitra, 1943 (Saka)

No.100/ES-1/JKD-LA/1/2021:- WHEREAS, the seat of Sh. Haji Hussain Ansari, in the

Legislative Assembly of the State of Jharkhand, elected from 13-Madhupur Assembly

Constituency in the State, has become vacant on 3^rd October, 2020 by reason of his death; and

2.

WHEREAS, a bye-election is to be held for the purpose of filling the said vacancy;

3.

NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of Section 150 and Sections 30 and 56

of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission of India

hereby-

(A)

calls upon the said 13-Madhupur Assembly Constituency in the State of Jharkhand,

to elect, before the 4^th May, 2021 (Tuesday) and in accordance with the provisions

of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder, a person, for the

purpose of filling the said vacancy in the Legislative Assembly of the State;

(B)

appoints, with respect to the said election:-

(a)

30^th March, 2021 (Tuesday), as the last date for making nominations;

(b)

31^st March, 2021 (Wednesday), as the date for the scrutiny of nominations;

(c)

3^rd April, 2021 (Saturday), as the last date for the withdrawal of

candidatures;

(d)

17^th April, 2021 (Saturday), as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be

taken; and

(e)

4^th May, 2021 (Tuesday), as the date before which the election shall be

completed; and

(C)

fixes the hours from 7.00 A.M. to 6.00 P.M. as the hours during which the poll

shall, if necessary, be taken on the date specified above for the election.
