NOTIFICATION

13^th March, 2023

Memo No.-1/aa-506/2023- 1494-- Whereas a small video clip has recently

surfaced in which Shri Rajiv Arun Ekka, IAS (JH:1994) is shown to be allegedly

signing certain official documents at a private place.

Whereas the above video clip has given rise to allegations of misuse of official

position by a public servant holding important posts.

Whereas the State Government considers the issue to be of public importance

necessitating a thorough, independent and impartial Inquiry. It, therefore, deems it

proper to exercise the powers vested in it under Section 3 of the Commissions of

Inquiry Act, 1952.

Now therefore, in exercise of the powers under Section 3 of the Commissions

of Inquiry Act, 1952, the Government of Jharkhand hereby appoints Hon'ble Mr.

Justice Vinod Kumar Gupta (now retired), former Chief Justice of Jharkhand High

Court and also former Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand High

Court as a one member "Commission of Inquiry" for the purpose of making an

Inquiry regarding all the issues and allegations pertaining to this matter.

The Inquiry shall be completed within six (6) months from the date of issuance of

this notification and Hon'ble Commission of Inquiry shall submit a report containing,

interalia its conclusions, findings and recommendations to the Government.

This issues with the approval of the competent authority.
