JSERC (Rooftop Solar PV Grid Interactive System and Net/Gross Metering)
(Third Amendment) Regulations, 2023
Notification no. 93--In order to promote generation of Renewable Energy in the
state of Jharkhand, the Commission in exercise of powers conferred upon it under
Section 181(1), read with Sections 61 (h), and 86(1)(a), (b) and (e) of the Electricity
Act, 2003 (36 of 2003) and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Jharkhand
State Electricity Regulatory Commission hereby makes the following Regulations to
amend the JSERC (Rooftop Solar PV Grid Interactive System and Net/Gross
Metering) Regulation, 2015 (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Principal Regulations’).

1. Short Title and Commencement
1.1.
These Regulations may be called the JSERC(Rooftop Solar PV Grid Interactive
System and Net/Gross Metering) (Third Amendment) Regulations, 2023.
1.2.
These Regulations shall extend to the State of Jharkhand.
1.3.
These Regulations shall come into force from the date of their publication in
the Jharkhand State Government Gazette unless reviewed earlier or extended
by the Commission.
2. Amendment to Regulation A5
In the Principal Regulations, under chapter A5 in clause 5.1 a new proviso shall be
inserted as below:
5.1 The maximum peak capacity of the grid connected rooftop solar PV
system to be installed by any eligible consumer shall not exceed 100%
of the sanctioned connected load / contract demand of the consumer.
Provided that in case of Domestic Consumer, such installed
capacity of Grid connected roof top solar PV system shall be
irrespective of consumer’s sanctioned load/contract demand.
