का.आ. .....(अ).--राçĚपǓत, लोक ĤǓतǓनͬध×व अͬधǓनयम, 1951 (1951 का 43) कȧ धारा

12 के अनुसरण मɅ, नीचे सारणी के èतंभ (2) मɅ ͪवǓनǑद[çट राÏय कȧ ͪवधान सभा के Ǔनवा[ͬचत

सदèयɉ से, उÈत अͬधǓनयम और उसके अधीन बनाए गए Ǔनयमɉ के उपबंधɉ और ͩकए गए आदेशɉ

के अनुसार, राÏय सभा के ऐसे सदèय (सदèयɉ) के èथान (èथानɉ) को भरने के Ĥयोजन के ͧलए,

जो उÈत सारणी के èतंभ (4) मɅ कȧ त×èथानी Ĥͪविçट मɅ उिãलͨखत तारȣख को Ǔनवृ× त हो रहे हɇ,

उनकȧ पदावͬध के अवसान पर, उÈत सारणी के èतंभ (3) मɅ राÏय के सामने ͪवǓनǑद[çट संÉया मɅ

सदèय (सदèयɉ) को Ǔनवा[ͬचत करने कȧ अपे¢ा करते हɇ :--

सं. 318/रा.स.-झारखÖ ड/2024 (1)--यतः, भारत के राçĚपǓत ने लोक ĤǓतǓनͬध×व अͬधǓनयम,

1951(1951 का 43) कȧ धारा 12 के अधीन जारȣ, और तारȣख 04 माच[ 2024 को भारत के

राजपğ मɅ Ĥकाͧशत अͬधसूचना ɮवारा झारखÖ ड राÏय कȧ ͪवधान सभा के Ǔनवा[ͬचत सदèयɉ से यह

अपे¢ा कȧ है ͩक 03 मई 2024 को 02 (दो) सदèयɉ कȧ पदावͬध के अवसान पर उनकȧ सेवाǓनवृͪƣ

के कारण राÏय सभा मɅ होने वालȣ ǐरिÈतयɉ को भरने के ͧलए झारखÖ ड राÏय से उस सदन के ͧलए

दो सदèयɉ को Ǔनवा[ͬचत कर दɅ;

अतः, अब उÈत अͬधǓनयम कȧ धारा 39 कȧ उप-धारा (1) और धारा 56 के अनुसरण मɅ

Ǔनवा[चन आयोग एतɮɮवारा:-

(अ) उÈत Ǔनवा[चन के संबंध मɅ Ǔनàनͧलͨखत Ǔनधा[ǐरत करता है:-

(क) नाम Ǔनदȶͧशत करने कȧ अिÛतम तारȣख

- 11 माच[ 2024 (सोमवार)

(ख) नाम Ǔनदȶशनɉ कȧ संवी¢ा कȧ तारȣख

-12 माच[ 2024 (मंगलवार)

(ग) अßयͬथ[ताएं वापस लेने कȧ अंǓतम तारȣख

-14 माच[ 2024 (गुǽवार)

(घ) वह तारȣख, िजसको यǑद आवæयक हुआ तो मतदान होगा, -21 माच[ 2024 (गुǽवार)

(ड.) वह तारȣख िजससे पूव[ Ǔनवा[चन सàपÛन करा ͧलया जाएगा -23 माच[ 2024 (शǓनवार),और

(आ) 09.00 बजे पूवा[éन से 04.00 बजे अपराéन तक का समय, ऐसे समय के Ǿप मɅ Ǔनयत

करता है िजसके दौरान यǑद आवæयक हुआ तो, उÈत ͪवǓनǑद[çट तारȣख को, मतदान होगा ।

शिÈतयɉ का Ĥयोग करते हुए Ǔनवा[चन आयोग झारखÖ ड राÏय सरकार के परामश[ से 04 माच[,

2024 को भारत के राजपğ मɅ Ĥकाͧशत आयोग कȧ अͬधसूचना के अनुसरण मɅ राÏय सभा के ͧलए

होने वाले ɮͪववाͪष[क Ǔनवा[चन के संबंध मɅ एतɮɮवारा-

(i)

नीचे कȧ सारणी के èतंभ (1) मɅ ͪवǓनǑद[çट अͬधकारȣ को ǐरटǓनɍग ऑͩफसर के Ǿप मɅ

पदाͧभǑहत करता है, तथा

(ii)

उÈत सारणी के èतंभ (2) मɅ ͪवǓनǑद[çट अͬधकारȣ को ǐरटǓनɍग ऑͩफसर के कृ×यɉ के

S.O........ (E).- -In pursuance of section 12 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43

of 1951), the President is pleased to call upon the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of

the State specified in column (2) of the Table below, to elect, in accordance with the provisions of

the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder, the number of member(s) specified

against the State in column (3) of the said Table, for the purpose of filling the seat(s) of member(s)

of the Council of States whose term of office is due to expire on the date mentioned in the

corresponding entry in column (4) of the said Table, on the expiration of their term of office:-

NOTIFICATION

4^th March, 2024/Phalguna 14, 1945 (Saka)

No. 318/CS-JH/2024 (1)--Whereas, the President of India has, by notification issued under

Section 12 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951(43 of 1951) and published in the Gazette

of India on 04^th March, 2024, has been pleased to call upon the elected members of the Legislative

Assembly of Jharkhand, to elect 02 (two) members to the Council of States to fill the vacancies in

that House caused due to the retirement of the sitting members on 03^rd May, 2024 on the

expiration of their term of office;

Now, therefore, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of Section 39 and Section 56 of the said Act,

the Election Commission hereby-

(A)

appoints, with respect to the said election;

(a) the 11^th March, 2024 (Monday), as the last date for making nominations;

(b) the 12^th March, 2024 (Tuesday), as the date for the scrutiny of the nominations;

(d) the 21^st March, 2024 (Thursday), as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken;

and

(e) the 23^rd March, 2024 (Saturday), as the date before which the election shall be completed;

and

(B)

fixes the hours from 09:00 am to 04:00 pm, as the hours during which the poll shall, if

necessary, be taken in the above mentioned State on the date specified above for the election.

No. 318/CS-JH/2024 (2)-- In pursuance of Section 21, and in exercise of the powers

conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 22, of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of

1951), the Election Commission, in consultation with the Government of Jharkhand, hereby-

(i)

designates the officer, specified in the corresponding entry in column (1) of the

TABLE below to be the Returning Officer; and

(ii)

appoints the officer, specified in the corresponding entry in column (2) of the said

TABLE, to be the Assistant Returning Officer to assist the Returning Officer in the

performance of his functions;

in respect of the biennial election to the Council of States, to be held in that State in pursuance of

the notification of the President of India, published in the Gazette of India on 04^th March, 2024: -
