NOTIFICATION

28^th July, 2025

No. 05/2025/R&S --In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 29 of the Bihar

Reorganisation Act, 2000 (Act XXX of 2000), and all other powers enabling in this behalf,

the High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi hereby amend Rule 48 (3)(i) in the manner indicated

below:-

“ 48 (3) (i) The facts stated in every petition shall be verified either by solemn

affirmation or on oath of the petitioner, or by a separate affidavit annexed to the

petition, the solemn affirmation or oath being made in every case before a

Commissioner for Affidavits or other officer appointed for the purpose, except

when such petition or appeal is filed by Legal Aid through JHALSA or HCLSC.”

Aforesaid amendments shall take effect from the date of its notification.
