NOTIFICATION

The draft of the following rules further to amend the Karnataka Revenue

Subordinate Branch Services (Recruitment) Rules, 1977, which the Government of

Karnataka, proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of

section 3 read with section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978

(Karnataka Act 14 of 1990) is hereby published as required by clause (1), of sub-section

(2) of section 3 of the said Act, for the information of all persons likely to be affected

thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration

after fifteen days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

Any objection or suggestion, which may be received by the State Government

from any person with respect to the said draft before the expiry of the period specified

above, will be considered by the State Government. Objections or Suggestions may be

addressed to the Principal Secretary to Government, Revenue Department, Multi

Storied Building, Bengaluru -560 001.

DRAFT RULES

1. Title and Commencement:- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka

Revenue Subordinate Branch Services (Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2021.

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the

Official Gazette.

2. Amendment of Schedule:- In the schedule to the Karnataka Revenue

Subordinate Branch Services (Recruitment) Rules, 1977, for the entries relating to the

category of posts of “First Division Clerks including Revenue Inspectors” the

following shall be substituted, namely:-

“

First Division

Assistant

including

Revenue

Inspectors

(i) Thirty percent by Direct

Recruitment in accordance

with the Karnataka State

Civil Services (Recruitment

to Ministerial Posts) Rules,

1978 and

(ii)

Seventy

percent

by

promotion from the cadre of

Second Division Assistant

and Village Accountants on

the

basis

of

combined

seniority,

seniority

being

determined based on the

length of service in the

respective Cadres. Seniority

interse being maintained.

Recruitment:-

In

accordance

with

the

Karnataka State Civil

Services (Recruitment to

Ministerial Posts) Rules,

1978.

For Promotion:- Must

have put in a service of

not less than five years in

the Cadres specified in

column (2)
