THE KARNATAKA KHADI AND VILLAGE INDUSTRIES

(AMENDMENT) ACT, 2021

(Received the assent of the Governor on the 5^th day of October, 2021)

An Act further to amend the Karnataka Khadi and Village Industries Act, 1956.

Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Karnataka Khadi and Village

Industries Act, 1956 (Karnataka Act 7 of 1957) for the purposes hereinafter

appearing;

Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the seventy second year

of the Republic of India, as follows:-

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the

Karnataka Khadi and Village Industries (Amendment) Act, 2021.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. Amendment of section 4.- In the Karnataka Khadi and Village Industries

Act, 1956 (Karnataka Act 7 of 1957) in section 4, in sub-section (1), in clause (a),

for sub-clause (i), the following shall be substituted, namely:-

“(i) twelve non-official members, three persons from each revenue region, but

not more than one from the same district, having at least ten years of experience

in the field of research or manufacture and training in the khadi sector and having

working experience in a similar organisation or society, nominated by the State

Government.”

ಮൡ౨ ಛ౳෮ೕඅ౲ೕಗಗಳ (ൟൿ౪ಪല) ಅඌඛಯಮ, 2021 ಎಂൿ ಕฉಯತಕౙൿ౪.

(2) ಇൿ, ಈ ಁಡว ೦คಡ ಬರತಕౙൿ౪.

2. 4ඡ ಪ౳ಕರಣದ ൟൿ౪ಪല.- ಕකბಟಕ ಌൽ ಮൡ౨ ಛ౳෮ೕඅ౲ೕಗಗಳ

ಅඌඛಯಮ, 1956ರ (1957ರ ಕකბಟಕ ಅඌඛಯಮ 7) 4ඡ ಪ౳ಕರಣದ (1)ඡ ಉಪಪ౳ಕರಣದ

(ಎ) ಘಡದย౵ನ ಉಪಘಡ (i)ರ ಬದมಜ ෨ಂൽನದඝ౬ ಪ౳ൟ෽ೕ೧ಸತಕౙൿ౪, ಎಂದฉ:-

“(i) ಌൽ ವಲಯದย౵ನ ๸๗ೕಧච ಅಥ฿ ಉ൞౭ದච ಮൡ౨ ತರ෎ൟ ಃ౹ೕತ౳ದย౵

ಕඛಷ౤ ಹൡ౨ ವಷბಗಳ ಅඝಭವವඝ౬ ຄಂൽฆವ ๻ಟ ಅඃ คೕൟಯ ๸๲౩ ಅಥ฿

๵๴ഔಯย౵ ಃಲಸದ ಅඝಭವವඝ౬ ຄಂൽฆವ, ಪ౳ൟ ಉർಯ ವಲಯൽಂದ

The above translation of the Karnataka Khadi and Village Industries

(Amendment) Act, 2021 (Karnataka Act 32 of 2021) shall be authoritative

text in Kannada language under section 5-A of the Karnataka Official

Language Act, 1963 (Karnataka Act 26 of 1963).
