THE KARNATAKA STATE CIVIL SERVICES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2020

(Received the assent of the Governor on the 5^th day of October, 2021)

An Act further to amend the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978.

Whereas, it is expedient further to amend the Karnataka State Civil Services

Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990) for the purposes hereinafter appearing;

Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the seventy first year of

the Republic of India as follows:-

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the

Karnataka State Civil Services (Amendment) Act, 2020.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. Amendment of section 2.- In the Karnataka State Civil Services Act,

1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990),in section 2,for clause (4a), the following shall be

substituted, namely:-

“(4a) ‘Special Board’ means the Board consisting of the Chief Minister, the

Minister-in-charge of Parliamentary Affairs and Legislation, the Minister-in-charge

of Finance, the Chairman in case of the Karnataka Legislative Council and the

Speaker in case of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, as the case may be”.

1. ๸౾౹ಪ౨ ກಸฆ ಮൡ౨ ඩ౳ฏಭ.- (1) ಈ ಅඌඛಯಮವඝ౬ ಕකბಟಕ ฃಜ౲

๭เฯ ๳ๅಗಳ (ൟൿ౪ಪല) ಅඌඛಯಮ, 2020 ಎಂൿ ಕฉಯತಕౙൿ౪.

(2) ಇൿ ಈ ಁಡศ ೦คಡ ಬರತಕౙൿ౪.

2. 2ඡ ಪ౳ಕರಣದ ൟൿ౪ಪല.- ಕකბಟಕ ฃಜ౲ ๭เฯ ๳ๅಗಳ ಅඌඛಯಮ, 1978ರ

(1990ರ ಕකბಟಕ ಅඌඛಯಮ 14) 2ඡ ಪ౳ಕರಣದ (4ಎ) ಘಡಃౙ ಈ ෨ಂൽನದඝ౬

ಪ౳ൟ෽ೕ೧ಸತಕౙൿ౪, ಎಂದฉ:-

“(4ಎ) “เ๕ಷ ෱ಡั” ಎಂದฉ ෨ಖ౲෱ൟ౳, ๸ಸൽೕಯ ವ౲ವ๻ರಗำ ಮൡ౨

๎ಸನ ರಚචಯ ಉ๯౨฿คಯย౵ฆವ ෱ൟ౳, ಹಣ౽๯ ಉ๯౨฿คಯย౵ฆವ ෱ൟ౳,

ಕකბಟಕ เඋನ ಪคಷൟ౨ನ ๸ದಭბದย౵ ಸූಪൟ ๻ಟ ๸ದූბඝ๬ರ฿ಜ

ಕකბಟಕ เඋನ ಸොಯ ๸ದಭბದย౵ ಸූಧ౲ౘ ಇವರඝ౬ ಒಳತಂಡ ෱ಡั.”

The above translation of the Karnataka State Civil Services (Amendment) Act,

2020 (Karnataka Act 33 of 2021) shall be authoritative text in Kannada language

under section 5-A of the Karnataka Official Language Act, 1963 (Karnataka Act 26

of 1963).
