NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by the Section 3 read with section 9 of the Karnataka
Municipalities Act, 1964, the Town Panchayat area of Kamalapur of Vijanagar District mentioned in the
Schedule ‘A’ along with boundaries mentioned in Schedule ‘B’ is hereby proposed to be declared as the
‘Smaller Urban Area’ of Kamalapur and further to specy as ‘Town Municipal Council Area’ of Kamalapur
and to form Town Municipal Council, with effect from the date of publishing this Notification in the Official
Gazette by His Excellency, the Governor of Karnataka having regard to:
i.
The population of such area is not less than twenty thousand and not more than fifty thousand: 25,552
ii.
The density of population in such area is not less than one thousand five hundred inhabitants to one
square kilometer of area: 645
iii.
The revenue generated for local administration from such area from tax and non-tax sources in the
year of the last preceding census is not less than rupees nine lakhs per annum or a sum calculated at
the rate of rupees forty five per capita per annum, whichever is higher: Rs.423/-
iv.
The percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities is not less than fifty per cent of the total
employment: 60%
The Notification is hereby published for the information of the Public. All the persons, who would like
to file any objections/suggestions to this Notification, are hereby required to submit the same with reasons
in writing to the Director, Directorate of Municipal Administration, 9th Floor, V.V.Tower, Bengaluru within
30 days from publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette. Further, Notification will be taken up for
final consideration after the said 30 days period.

West:
Starting From S.No.461 of Hosapete-Kampli Road continues with South-West corner’ to East

reaches S.No.411, 404, 44, 417 of Kamalapur’ East boundary points and continues to S.No.398 of

South boundary points towards S.No.1278 North-East point. This will be North Boundry.
South:
Starting from S.No.1500C of proposed Seetharampur Grama Panchayath and Bailuvaddigeri village,
continues to S.No.1129, 1180 Papinayakanahalli, Ingalagi villages’ North boundary point S.No.1023,
1044, 1049, 1080, 1081, 1088, 1069, 1055, 1068, 1067, 1071, 1079, 1087 Kaariganuru and
