THE KARNATAKA PRIVATE MEDICAL ESTABLISHMENTS (AMENDMENT)
ACT, 2022
(Received the assent of the Governor on the 18th day of January, 2023)
An Act further to amend the Karnataka Private Medical Establishments
Act, 2007.
Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Karnataka Private Medical
Establishments Act, 2007 (Karnataka Act 21 of 2007) for the purposes hereinafter
appearing;
Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the seventy third year of the
Republic of India, as follows:-
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the
Karnataka Private Medical Establishments (Amendment) Act, 2022.

(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of section 4.- In the Karnataka Private Medical
Establishments Act, 2007 (Karnataka Act 21 of 2007) (hereinafter referred to as the
Principal Act) in section 4, both the provisos shall be omitted.
3. Amendment of section 16.- In section 16 of the Principal Act, both the provisos
shall be omitted.
