Whereas, the draft of the Karnataka Sericulture Services (Recruitment) Rules, 2023 was published as required by,

clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 3 read with section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka

Act 14 0f 1990) in Notification No. SERI/79/SLS/2022 dated 13-03-2023 in Part IV A vide, 112 of the Karnataka

Gazette Extraordinary, Dated:13th March 2023 inviting objection and suggestion from all the persons likely to be

affected within seven days from the date of its publications in the Official Gazette.

Whereas, the said gazette was made available to public on 13-03-2023

And whereas the objections and suggestions received in this behalf have been considered by the State

Government.

State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 0f 1990) the Government of Karnataka hereby makes the following

rules, namely:-

RULES

1. Title and Commencement :- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Sericulture Services (Recruitment)

Rules, 2023

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Method of recruitment and minimum qualification:- The Karnataka Sericulture Services shall consist of the

categories of posts with the scale of pay specified in column (2) of the schedule below, their number, the total number

of posts, the method of recruitment and the minimum qualifications, shall be as specified in the corresponding entries

in column number (3), (4) and (5) thereof.

3. Repeal and Savings :- The Karnataka Sericulture Services (Recruitment), Rules, 1984 are hereby repealed:

Provided that, the said repeal shall not affect,-

(a)

the previous operation of said rules or anything duly done or any action taken under ; or

(b)

any right, privilege, obligations or liability acquired, accrued or incurred under the said rules.
