NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 8-A of the

Karnataka Sales Tax Act, 1957 (Karnataka Act 25 of 1957) and in supersession of

Notification No. FD 58 CSL 2021, dated the 30^th June 2021 published in the Karnataka

Gazette, Extraordinary, Part IVA, No.617, dated the 30^th June, 2021, the

Government of Karnataka hereby exempts with effect from 1^st day of August 2023, the

tax payable by a dealer under section 5 of the said act, on the sale of diesel not exceeding

1,33,333 kilo litres (One lakh thirty three thousand three hundred thirty three kilo litres)

for the period from 01-08-2023 to 31-03-2024 for supply to fishermen for use in fishing

activities as per the indents issued on a monthly basis by the Director of Fisheries,

Government of Karnataka.
