THE KARNATAKA APPROPRIATION (No.4) ACT, 2023

(Received the assent of the Governor on the 30th day of December 2023)

An Act to authorize payment and appropriation of certain further sums from

and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Karnataka for the Services of the

Financial year 2023-24.

Whereas it is expedient to authorize payment and appropriation of certain

further sums from and out of the Consolidated fund of the State for the services of

the Financial year 2023-24.

Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the SEVENTY FOURTH

year of the Republic of India as follows:-

1. Short Title.-This Act may be called the Karnataka Appropriation (No-4)

Act, 2023.

2. Issue of Rupees 354210.53 Lakhs out of the Consolidated Fund of the

State of Karnataka for the Financial year 2023-24.- From and out of the

Consolidated Fund of the State of Karnataka, there may be paid and applied sums

not exceeding those specified in column 5 of the Schedule amounting in the

aggregate to the sum of Rupees Three thousand five hundred and forty two crores

ten lakhs and fifty three thousand towards defraying the several charges which will

come in the course of payment during the Financial Year 2023-24 in respect of the

services specified in column 2 of the schedule.

3. Appropriation.- The sums authorized to be paid and applied from and out

of the Consolidated Fund of the State by this Act shall be appropriated for the

services and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the said year.
