NOTIFICATION

Where as the draft of the following rules further to amend the Youth Empowerment and Sports Department (Cadre and

Recruitment) Rules, 2024 was published as required by clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 3 and read with the section 8 of

the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990) in notification no: NO: YSD/178/EYW/2021;

Dated:27.03.2023 in part IV-A of the Karnataka Gazette dated:30.03.2023 inviting objection and suggestion from the person

likely to be affected thereby within 15 days from the date of its publication of the draft in the official Gazette;

Whereas said Gazette was made available to the public on 31.03.2023

And whereas objections and suggestions have been received by the state Government and the same has been examined

and considered. Now, therefore in exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (2) of section 3 and read with the section 8 of

the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990), The Government of Karnataka makes the following

Rules namely:-

RULES

1. Title and commencement:- (1) These rules may be called the Youth Empowerment and Sports Department (Cadre and

Recruitment) Rules, 2024.

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the official Gazette.

2. Method of recruitment and minimum qualification:-The establishment of the Youth Empowerment and Sports

Department services shall consist of each category of posts carrying scale of pay as specified in column (2) of the schedule

below, the number of posts, the method of recruitment and the minimum qualification, if any, shall be as specified in the

corresponding entries in column (3), (4) and (5), thereof.

3. Repeal and savings:-The Karnataka Civil Service (Youth Empowerment and Sports) (Recruitment) Rules, 2011 are

hereby repealed:

Provided that such repeal shall not affect,-

(a) the previous operation of the said rules or anything duly done or any action taken there under, or

(b) any right, privilege, obligation or liability acquired, accrued or incurred under the said rules.
