NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Karnataka

Municipal Corporation Act 1976, (Karnataka Act 14 of 1977) and Clause (1A) of sub-section

(i) of section 2 of the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 22 of 1964) read

with section 21 of the Karnataka General Clauses Act, 1899 (Karnataka Act III of 1899)

the Government of Karnataka hereby amends the notification No. HUD 636 MLR 1995,

dated 16.10.1995 as under, namely:-

In the said notification for the Note and the entries relating thereto, the following

shall be substituted, namely:-

“Note: The criteria for eligibility of person falling under category ‘B’ for

entitlement to the benefit of reservation in the seats and offices of Mayor /

Deputy Mayor of City Corporation, President / Vice President of City

Municipal Councils / Town Municipal Councils / Town Panchayats shall

be as per the order issued by the Backward Classes Welfare Department

vide Government Oder No. HimVaKa 304 BCA 2017, dated 14.09.2018 and

any subsequent amendments to it.
