NOTIFICATION

In exercise of powers conferred under clause (d) to sub-section (1) of Section 110 of

the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (No.12 of 2017) read with Goods and Services

Tax Appellate Tribunal (Appointment and Conditions of Service of President and Members)

Rules, 2023, Government of Karnataka hereby notifies that a person shall not be considered

for appointment as a Technical Member (State), unless he is or has been an officer of the

State Government or an officer of All India Service, not below the rank of Additional

Commissioner of Commercial taxes or such rank and has completed twenty-five years of

service in Group A or equivalent, with at least three years of experience in the administration

of existing Value Added Tax Law or the Goods and Services Tax Law or in the field of finance

and taxation in the State Government.
