NOTIFICATION-I

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the

Karnataka Special Investment Region Act, 2022 (Karnataka Act 5 of 2023), the

Government of Karnataka hereby declare that the area consisting of Mummigatti, Belur,

Mummigatti Village, Narendra & Mummigatti Part-2 (Guggiagatti) Industrial Areas,

Dharwad Taluk and District with an extent of 2818.23 acres occupied by industries as

shown in the map enclosed herewith & consisting of areas specified in Schedule A to be

called as “the Dharwad Special Investment Region”.

NOTIFICATION-II

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) & (3) of section 8 of the

Karnataka Special Investment Region Act, 2022 (Karnataka Act 5 of 2023), the

Government of Karnataka hereby designate Karnataka Industrial Areas Development

Board (KIADB) as the Regional Development Authority for “the Dharwad Special

Investment Region” and is empowered to exercise all the powers and perform all the

functions as specified under Section15 of the said Act.

NOTIFICATION-III

Whereas, the Government of Karnataka has declared Mummigatti, Belur,

Mummigatti Village, Narendra & Mummigatti Part-2 (Guggiagatti) Industrial Areas,

Dharwad Taluk and District as “the Dharwad Special Investment Region” published

vide Notification-I, No. CI 42 SPQ 2025, dated 19.03.2025 as required under sub-section

(1) of section 3 of the Karnataka Special Investment Region Act, 2022 (Karnataka Act 5

of 2023).

Whereas, the Government of Karnataka has designated Karnataka Industrial

Areas Development Board (KIADB) as the Regional Development Authority for

Dharwad Special Investment Region published vide Notification-II, No. CI 42 SPQ 2025,

dated 19.03.2025 as required under sub-section (1) & (3) of section 8 of the Karnataka

Special Investment Region Act, 2022 (Karnataka Act 5 of 2023).

Now, therefore in exercise of the powers conferred under Sub Section (1) of

Section 29 of the Karnataka Special Investment Region Act, 2022 (Karnataka Act 5 of

2023), “the Dharwad Special Investment Region” shall deemed to be an Industrial

Township and the Government of Karnataka hereby declare that the Karnataka

Industrial Areas Development Board (Regional Development Authority) to be the

Industrial Township Authority.

Also, the Government of Karnataka hereby accord permission to exercise powers

and discharge functions of Industrial Township Authority by the Regional Development

Authority under sub-section (2) & (3) of section 29 of said Act.
