THE KARNATAKA MINISTERS SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES

(AMENDMENT) ACT, 2025

(Received the assent of the Governor on the 3^rd day of April, 2025)

An Act further to amend the Karnataka Ministers Salaries and Allowances

Act, 1956.

Whereas, it is expedient further to amend the Karnataka Ministers Salaries

and Allowances Act, 1956 (Karnataka Act 5 of 1957) for the purposes hereinafter

appearing;

Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the Seventy-sixth year of

the Republic of India as follows:-

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the

Karnataka Ministers Salaries and Allowances (Amendment) Act, 2025.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. Amendment of section 3.- In the Karnataka Ministers Salaries and

Allowances Act, 1956 (Karnataka Act 5 of 1957), (hereinafter referred to as the

Principal Act), in section 3,-

(i) for the words "seventy five thousand rupees" the words, “one lakh fifty

thousand rupees”, shall be substituted;

(ii) for the words "sixty thousand rupees" the words, “one lakh twenty five

thousand rupees”, shall be substituted; and

(iii) for the words "four lakhs fifty thousand rupees" the words, “five lakhs

rupees”, shall be substituted.

3. Amendment of section 4.- In section 4 of the Principal Act, in

sub-section (1), for the words “one lakh twenty thousand rupees”, the words,

“two lakh fifty thousand rupees”, shall be substituted.

4. Amendment of section 6A.- In section 6A of the Principal Act, for the

words "fifty thousand rupees" the words, “seventy five thousand rupees”, shall be

substituted.

5. Amendment of section 6B.- In section 6B of the Principal Act, in sub-

section (1), for the words “one lakh twenty thousand rupees”, the words,

“two lakh rupees”, shall be substituted.

6. Omission of section 9B.- Section 9B of the Principal Act shall be omitted.

1. ๸౾౹ಪ౨ ກಸฆ ಮൡ౨ ඩ౳ฏಭ.- (1) ಈ ಅඌඛಯಮವඝ౬ ಕකბಟಕ ෱ൟ౳ಗಳ

๸ಬಳಗำ ಮൡ౨ ಭ൤౲ಗಳ (ൟൿ౪ಪല) ಅඌඛಯಮ, 2025 ಎಂൿ ಕฉಯತಕౙൿ౪.

(2) ಇൿ ಈ ಁಡว ೦คಡ ಬರತಕౙൿ౪.

2. ಪ౳ಕರಣ 3ರ ൟൿ౪ಪല.- ಕකბಟಕ ෱ൟ౳ಗಳ ๸ಬಳಗำ ಮൡ౨ ಭ൤౲ಗಳ

ಅඌඛಯಮ, 1956 (1957ರ ಕකბಟಕ ಅඌඛಯಮ 5) (ಇย౵ ಇඝ౬෨ಂං ෩ಲ

ಅඌඛಯಮๅಂൿ ಉว౵ೕ಍ಸมಜං) 3ඡ ಪ౳ಕರಣದย౵,-

(i) “ಎಪ౭൤౨ೖൿ ๬เರ งඩ෵ಗಳ” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗಳ ಬದยಡ “ಒಂൿ ಲౘದ ಐವൡ౨

๬เರ งඩ෵ಗಳ” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗಳඝ౬ ಪ౳ൟ෽ೕ೧ಸತಕౙൿ౪;

(ii) “ಅರವൡ౨ ๬เರ งඩ෵ಗಳ” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗಳ ಬದยಡ “ಒಂൿ ಲౘದ ಇಪ౭൤౨ೖൿ

๬เರ งඩ෵ಗಳ” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗಳඝ౬ ಪ౳ൟ෽ೕ೧ಸತಕౙൿ౪;

(iii) “කฤౙ ಲౘ ಐವൡ౨ ๬เರ งඩ෵ಗಳ” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗಳ ಬದยಡ “ಐൿ ಲౘ

งඩ෵ಗಳ” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗಳඝ౬ ಪ౳ൟ෽ೕ೧ಸತಕౙൿ౪.

3. ಪ౳ಕರಣ 4ರ ൟൿ౪ಪല.- ෩ಲ ಅඌඛಯಮದ 4ඡ ಪ౳ಕರಣದ, (1)ඡ

ಉಪಪ౳ಕರಣದย౵, “ಒಂൿ ಲౘದ ಇಪ౭ൡ౨ ๬เರ งඩ෵ಗಳ” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗಳ ಬದยಡ

“ಎರഴ ಲౘದ ಐವൡ౨ ๬เರ งඩ෵ಗಳ” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗಳඝ౬ ಪ౳ൟ෽ೕ೧ಸತಕౙൿ౪;

4. ಪ౳ಕರಣ 6ಎ ರ ൟൿ౪ಪല.- ෩ಲ ಅඌඛಯಮದ 6ಎ ಪ౳ಕರಣದย౵, “ಐವൡ౨

๬เರ งඩ෵ಗಳ” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗಳ ಬದยಡ “ಎಪ౭൤౨ೖൿ ๬เರ งඩ෵ಗಳ” ಎಂಬ

ಪದಗಳඝ౬ ಪ౳ൟ෽ೕ೧ಸತಕౙൿ౪;

5. ಪ౳ಕರಣ 6෈ ರ ൟൿ౪ಪല.- ෩ಲ ಅඌඛಯಮದ 6෈ ಪ౳ಕರಣದ, (1)ඡ

ಉಪಪ౳ಕರಣದย౵, “ಒಂൿ ಲౘದ ಇಪ౭ൡ౨ ๬เರ งඩ෵ಗಳ” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗಳ ಬದยಡ

“ಎರഴ ಲౘ งඩ෵ಗಳ” ಎಂಬ ಪದಗಳඝ౬ ಪ౳ൟ෽ೕ೧ಸತಕౙൿ౪;

6. ಪ౳ಕರಣ 9෈ ඝ౬ ෈ഖౣ෈ഴโൿ.- ෩ಲ ಅඌඛಯಮದ 9෈ ಪ౳ಕರಣವඝ౬

෈ഖౣ෈ಡತಕౙൿ౪.

The above translation of the Karnataka Ministers Salaries and

Allowances (Amendment) Act, 2025 (Karnataka Act 26 of 2025) shall be an

authoritative text in Kannada language under section 6 of the Kannada Language

Comprehensive Development Act, 2022 (Karnataka Act No.13 of 2023).
