NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by the Section 3 read with Section 4, 9, 349

and 355 of The Karnataka Municipalities Act 1964, His Excellency the Governor,

hereby notify to include the adjacent Survey Numbered Areas into the existing Town

Panchayath Area of Beelagi, Bagalkot District as mentioned in Schedule-A along with

boundaries mentioned in Schedule-B for the purpose of administration having

regard to:

a) The population of such area is not less than ten thousand and not more than

twenty thousand;

b) The density of population in such area is not less than four hundred

inhabitants to one square kilometer of area;

c) The percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities is not less than

fifty per cent of the total employment.

The Notification is hereby published for the information of the Public. All

persons, who would like to file any objection/suggestion to this Notification, are hereby

required to submit the same with reasons in writing to the Director, Directorate of

Municipal Administration, 9^th Floor, V.V.Tower, Bengaluru within 30 days from

publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette. Further, Notification will be

taken up for final consideration after the said 30 days’ period.

South: The boundary of the revised town panchayat boundary of Bilagi begins at the

point of intersection P at the north-west corner of R.S. No. 474, moves eastwards along

the eastern boundary of the same R.S. No., joins Ballur Gram Road from Bilagi and

moves northwards and joins the west corner of R.S. No. 477. The northern boundary

moves eastwards along R.S. No. 477, crosses Doddihal Road, passes through R.S. No.

610, 614 and 612, partly through the land, crosses Dhavaleshwar Road and then from

the north-east corner of R.S. No. 638, moves eastwards along the northern boundary,

crosses the stream and joins R.S. No. From the corner of No. 50, it passes the northern

boundary fence and moves eastwards, crosses Korthi Road and passes the northern

boundary fence of R.S. No. 46 and moves northwards from the north-east corner of

R.S. No. 46 and passes the fence of the north-east corner of R.S. No. 38 and passes the
