NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by the Section-3 read with Section-9

and 361 of the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964, the Town Municipal Area of

Bailhongal of Belagavi District is proposed to be notified as the “Smaller Urban

Area” as mentioned in Schedule “A” along with the boundaries mentioned in

Schedule “B” and further to declare as the “City Municipal Council of

Bailhongal” and constitute the City Municipal Council to the said smaller urban

area with effect from the date of publishing this Notification in the Official

Gazette by His Excellency, the Governor of Karnataka for the purpose of

administration having regard to:

i. The population of such area is not less than fifty thousand;

ii. The density of population in such area is not less than one thousand

five hundred inhabitants to one square kilo meter of area;

iii. The revenue generated for local administration from such area from tax

and non-tax sources in the year of the last preceding census is not less

than rupees nine lakhs per annum or a sum calculated at the rate of

rupees forty-five per capita per annum, whichever is higher;

iv. The percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities is not

less than fifty per cent of the total employment.

The Notification is hereby published for the information of the Public. All

the persons, who would like to file any objection/suggestion to this Notification

are hereby required to submit the same with reasons in writing to the Director,

Directorate of Municipal Administration, 9^th Floor, V.V.Tower, Bengaluru

within 30 days from publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette.

Further, Notification will be taken up for final consideration after the mentioned

period of 30 days.

North: The proposed Bailhongal Town Municipal Boundary extended boundary starts

From the point ‘A’ that is bailhongal R.S.No.353, North-West corner of R.S.No.353 of

Bailhongal village. From this point the line moves towards eastern direction. Along the

Northern Boundary of R.S.No.353, 354,371 and reaches North-East corner of R.S.No.371

of Bailhongal village. From this point the line moves towards Northern direction along the

western boundary of R.S.No.372 and reaches North-West corner R.S.No.372. From this

point the line moves towards Eastern direction along the Northern Boundary of

R.S.No.372, 375, 376, 377, 378, 379, 380, 382, 383, 384, 385, 386, 389 and reaches the

North-East conrer of R.S.No.389. From this point line passes through Bailhongal to Inchal

(SH-31) and reaches North-West corner of R.S.No.390 of Bailongal village. From this

point the line moves towards Eastern direction along the Northern Boundary of

R.S.No.390, 395, 400, 401, 410, 411, 413, 414, 417, 418, 419, 450, 451, 452, 455, 456,

457, 466, 467, 468, 471, 475, 476, 481, 482, 487, 488, 492, 493, 497, 498, 502, 503 and

reaches North east corner of R.S.No.503.

East: Starts from North East corner of R.S.No.503 and moves towards Southern direction

along the Eastern Boundary of R.S.No.503, 504 of Bailhongal village. And reaches South-

East corner of R.S.No.504. From this point it crosses the Nala and then reaches North-

East corner of R.S.No.505. From this point again the line moves towards Southern

direction along the East Boundary of R.S.No.505 and reaches South-East corner of

R.S.No.505. From this point the line moves towards Eastern direction. Along the Northern

Boundary of R.S.No.517 and reaches North-East corner of R.S.No.517 of Bailhongal

village. From this point the line moves towards southern direction along the Eastern

Boundary of R.S.No.518 and reaches South-East corner of R.S.No.518 of Bailhongal

village. Again the line moves towards Southern direction along the Eastern Boundary of

R.S.No.519 and from the Bailhongal-Murgod (MDR) Road and reaches North corner of

R.S.No.520. Again from this point the line moves towards Southern direction along the

Eastern Boundary of R.S.No.520, 521 and reaches South-East corner of R.S.No.521.

Again from this point the line moves towards Eastern direction along the Northern

boundary of R.S.No.524 and reaches North-East corner of R.S.No.524. From this point

the line moves towards Southern direction along Eastern boundary of R.S.No.524 and

reach South-East corner of R.S.No.542. From this point the line moves towards Eastern

direction along the Northern Boundary of R.S.No.529 and reaches North-East corner of

R.S.No.529. From this point the line moves towards Southern direction along the Eastern

the line moves towards Eastern direction along the Northern boundary of R.S.No.531 and

this point the line passes through Bailhongal-Chikopp road and reaches North-West corner

of R.S.No.40. Again from this point the line moves towards Eastern direction along the

Northern boundary of R.S.No.40 and reaches North-East corner of R.S.No.40. From this

point the line moves towards Eastern direction along the North boundary R.S.No.41 and

reaches North-East corner of R.S.No.41 of Bailhongal village. Again from this point the

line moves towards Southern direction. Along the Eastern boundary of R.S.No.41, 57, 58

and reaches South-East corner of R.S.No.58. Again from this point the line passes through

Bailhongal-Munavalli (SH) and reaches North-East corner of R.S.No.59. Again from this

point the line moves towards Southern direction along the Eastrn boundary of R.S.No.59

and reaches South-East corner of R.S.No.59 of Bailhongal village. From this point the line

moves towards Western direction along the Southern boundary of R.S.No.59 and reaches

South-West corner of R.S.No.59. Again from this pint the line passes through Bailhongal

to Madanmatti pathway and moves towards the Southern direction along the Eastern

boundary of R.S.No.61, 67, 68, 70 and reaches South-East corner of R.S.No.70.

South: Starts from South-East corner of R.S.No.70 then passes through Bailhongal-Hosur

village road and reaches North-East corner of R.S.No.97. From this point the line moves

towards Sourther direction along the Eastern boundary of R.S.No.97. And Reaches South-

East corner of R.S.No.97 of Bailhongal village. From this point the line moves towards

Western direction along the Southern boundary of R.S.No.97 and passes through

Bailhongal-Madanmatti village road. From this point the line moves towards Western

direction along the southern boundary of R.S.No.98 and passes the Nala and reaches

South-East corner of R.S.No.99. Again from this point the line moves towards Western

direction along the Southern boundary of R.S.No.99 and passes through (Bailhongal-

Dharwad SH) and reaches South-East corner of R.S.No.130. From this point the line

moves towards the West direction along the Southern boundary of R.S.No.130, 131, 132

corner of R.S.No.220. Again from this point the line moves toward Western direction

along the Southern boundary of R.S.No.220. And reaches South-West corner of

R.S.No.220.

West: Starts from South-West corner of R.S.No.220 and moves towards North direction

along the west boundary of R.S.No.220, 224 and passes Bailhongal-Devalapur village

road and reaches South-West corner of R.S.No.225. From this point the line moves

towards Northern direction along the Western boundary of R.S.No.225, 226, 227, 234,

238 and passes through (Bialhongal- SH) and reaches North-West corner of R.S.No.239.

From this point the line moves towards East direction along the Northern boundary of

R.S.No.239, 240 and reaches South-West corner of R.S.No.350. From this point the line

moves towards Northern direction along the Western boundary of R.S.No.350 and crosses

Bailhongal-Bailwad village road and again line moves towards Northern Direction along

the Western boundary of R.SNo.350 and crosses Bailhongal-Neginal village road and

reaches South-West corner of R.S.No.351. From this point the line moves towards

Northern direction along the Western boundary of R.S.NO.351, 352 and reaches South-

East corner of R.S.No.353 of Bailhongal village. From this point the line moves towards

Western direction along the Southern boundary of R.S.No.353 and reaches South-West

corner of R.S.No.353. From this point the line moves towards North direction along the

Western boundary of R.S.No.353 and reaches North-West corner of R.S.No.353 which is

the starting point ‘A’ of proposed running boundary of Town Municipal boundary of

Bailhongal Town.
