NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 26 read with section 27 of the
Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board Act, 1966 (Karnataka Act No. 16 of
1966), the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board with approval of the State
Government hereby makes the following draft amendments to the Karnataka Secondary
Education and Examination Board First Regulations, 1966, was Published as in Notification
No. EP 211 SLB 2025, dated:24.07.2025 in part of IVA of the Karnataka Gazette
dated:24.07.2025 inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected
thereby within fifteen days from the date of its publications in the Official Gazette.
And whereas the said Gazette was made available to public on 24.07.2025 and whereas
objections and suggetions have been received by the Government.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 26 read with section
27 of the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board Act, 1966 (Karnataka Act
No. 16 of 1966) the Government of Karnataka hereby make the following rules, namely:-
RULES
1. Title and commencement. These regulations may be called the Karnataka
Secondary Education Examination Board First Regulations (Amendment) 2025.

2. Amendment of Annexure III. In the Karnataka Secondary Education
Examination Board First Regulations, 1966, in Annexure III,-
(i) For Rule 16 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted,
namely:-
"16. Candidates shall secure an aggregate of 33% marks in internal assessment and
external examination combined and shall be declared pass if they secure at least 206 marks
out of a total of 625 marks, including at least 30% marks in each subject out of the total marks
of the respective subject.";
