NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by the Section-3 read with Section-9 and 361

of the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964, His Excellency, the Governor of Karnataka

hereby propose to declare the Town Municipal Area of Humnabad of Bidar District as

mentioned in Schedule-A along with the boundaries mentioned in Schedule-B as the

“Smaller Urban Area of Humnabad” and further to specify as the “City Municipal

Council of Humnabad” and to constitute the ‘City Municipal Council’ to the said

Smaller Urban Area with effect from the date of publishing this Notification in the

Official Gazette by His Excellency, the Governor of Karnataka having regards to:

i. The population of such area is not less than fifty thousand;

ii. The density of population in such area is not less than one thousand five

hundred inhabitants to one square kilo meter of area;

iii. The revenue generated for local administration from such area from tax

and non-tax sources in the year of the last preceding census is not less

than rupees nine lakhs per annum or a sum calculated at the rate of

rupees forty-five per capita per annum, whichever is higher;

iv. The percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities is not less

than fifty per cent of the total employment.

The notification is hereby published for the information of the Public. All the

persons, who would like to file any objection/suggestion to this Notification are hereby

required to submit the same with reasons in writing to the Director, Directorate of

Municipal Administration, 9^th Floor, V.V.Tower, Bengaluru within 30 days from

publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette. Further, Notification will be

taken up for final consideration after the mentioned period of 30 days.

south.

West: The western boundary of Humnabad town is Humnabad village survey No.264

starting from the south corner and Survey No.264, 264 crossing the western

boundary and survey No.173 is up to the south-east three from there survey No.

273, 272, 271. 270, 269. 274, 275, 276, 277, 282, 283 West boundary 284, 285.

286, 297, 302. 303, 337 goes up to the corner and turns west from the survey no.

corner and hence to survey No.crossing the western boundary of 61 the same

North: The northern boundary of the Humnabad municipality is Manikanagar village

survey No.61 starts at northwest corner and Manikanagar suvey No.61 starts at

the northwest corner and Maniknagar Survey No.61, 60, 39, 49 through northern

boundary of survey No.49 runs to the northwest corner and from there survey

No.crosses the 50 mark survey no 40 joins the southeast corner and survey no 40

230, 262, 263 264 South border passing and Survey No.264 South West Corner.
