NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (2) and (3) of Article 166 of Constitution

of India, the Governor of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules further to amend the

Karnataka Government (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1977, namely :-

1. Title and Commencement :- 1) These rules may be called the Karnataka

Government (Allocation of Business) (Amendment) Rules, 2025.

2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Amendment of Schedule II:- In the Karnataka Government (Allocation of

Business) Rules, 1977, (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in SCHEDULE II under the

heading “ Department of personnel and Administrative Reforms”, the sub-heading

“R. Hyderabad-Karnataka Special Cell” and entries relating thereto shall be omitted.

3. Amendment of Schedule XII:- In the said rules, in schedule XII under the heading

“Planning, Programme Monitoring and Statistics Department”, under sub-heading

“A”, Serial number 2 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted.

4. Insertion of New Schedule XXIX:- In the said rules, after schedule XXVIII, the

following shall be inserted, namely, -

“SCHEDULE XXIX

KALYANA KARNATAKA REGION DEVELOPMENT

DEPARTMENT

A. Kalyana Karnataka.

1. All matters connected with the implementation of Article 371(J) of the Constitution of

India other than the matters allocated to Education Department and Labour Department.

2. All matters pertaining to Administration of the Karnataka Public Employment (Reservation

in appointment for Hyderabad-Karnataka Region) Order, 2013.

3. Planning and monitoring the functioning of Hyderabad-Karnataka Region Development

Board including budget and various provisions contained in the Hyderabad-Karnataka Region

Development Board Order, 2013.

B. Codes and Manuals

Preparation of Codes and Manuals in respect of Departments under its administrative

control.

C. Recruitment Rules and Appointments

1. Recruitment Rules relating to the services and posts under the administrative control of

Kalyana Karnataka Region Development Department.

2. Appointments, postings, transfers, leave, etc., to the officers and staff working under its

administrative control except those falling under the Department of Personnel and

Administrative Reforms.”
