NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by Section-3 read with section-9 and 361 of
the Karnataka Municipalities Act 1964, His Excellency, the Governor of Karnataka
hereby proposes the present Town Municipal Area of Bhalki of Bidar District to be
notified as the “Smaller Urban Area” as mentioned in Schedule “A” along with the
boundaries mentioned in Schedule “B” and further to declare as the “City Municipal
Council of Bhalki” and constitute the City Municipal Council to the said smaller urban
area with effect from the date of publishing this Notification in the Official Gazette for
the purpose of administration and development having regard to:
i. The population of such area is not less than fifty thousand;
ii. The density of population in such area is not less than one thousand five
hundred inhabitants to one square kilo meter of area;
iii.
The revenue generated for local administration from such area from tax and
non-tax sources in the year of the last preceding census is not less than rupees
nine lakhs per annum or a sum calculated at the rate of rupees forty-five per
capita per annum, whichever is higher;
iv. The percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities is not less
than fifty per cent of the total employment.
The notification is hereby published for the information of the Public. All the
persons, who would like to file any objection/suggestion to this Notification are hereby
required to submit the same with reasons in writing to the Director, Directorate of
Municipal Administration, 9th Floor, V.V.Tower, Bengaluru within 30 days from
publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette. Further, Notification will be
taken up for final consideration after the mentioned period of 30 days.

West: Then Western boundary of Town municipal Council Bhalki starts from south
west corner of Sy. No. 433 of Bhalki village and runs over western boundary of Sy.
No. 433, 484, running over north boundary Sy. No. 580 turns north side passess over
western boundary of Sy. No. 582, 584, 592 and running over the south west and north
boundry of Sy. No. 596 and turn towards north passes over western boundary of Sy.
No. 622, 620, 22, 23, 24, 26 and 27 upto north western corner of Sy. No. 27 of Bhalki
Village.
North: The Boundary line of Town municipal council Bhalki town starts from north
west corner of Sy. No.27 of Bhalki and passes over north boundry of Sy. No. 27, 29
and turn towards south and run over eastern boundary of 29 of Bhalki and then north
boundry of Sy. No. 29 upto the Nilanga PWD Road and along with road passes over
west and north boundary of Sy. No. 30 and then again passes along with PWD Road
crossing the Railway Track and run along with PWD Road over south boundary of Sy.
No. 69, 70, 73, 74, 75, 76 including the Bhalki Thanda and passes south side of Sy.
No. 143 of Bhalki village upto south east corner of Sy. No.143 and then the boundary
line turn and passes over eastern boundary of Sy. No. 144, 149 upto Sy. No. 152 and
then it runs over north boundary of Sy. No. 152 and then turn running over eastern
boundary of Sy. No. 152 and 153 upto Sy. No. 156 and then it runs over the north
east boundary of Sy. No. 156 and then turn towards east passes over north boundary of
Sy. No. 170, 165, 166 upto north east boundary of Sy. No. 166 of Bhalki from this
point it passes eastern boundary of Sy. No. 166 upto Sy. No. 44 of Ganeshpurwadi
and turns towards east passing north boundary of Sy. No. 44 of Ganeshpurwadi upto
north east corner of said Sy. No.

South: The Boundary line of the town municipal council Bhalki starts from south east
corner of Sy. No. 289 runs towards west along with kalwadi village road i.e. on the
south boundary line of Sy. No. 289, 288, 287, 281, 324, 325, 326 and 327 upto north
east corner of Sy. No. 346 and then it turn towards south passing over eastern boundary
of Sy. No. 346, 350, 403 and then it turns towards west passing over southern boundary
of Sy. No. 403, 412 and 410 and runs towards south over east boundary of said Sy. No.
and then it run over the south boundary of Sy. No. 410 turn towards north passing over
the western boundary of Sy.No. 410, 411 upto the inter secting point of Sy. No.428.
Then turn towards west passes over south west boundary of Sy. No. 428 and south
boundary of 426 and 433 upto south west corner of Sy. No. 433 of Bhalki Village.
