NOTIFICATION
Whereas the Notification to declare the Grama Panchayat Area of Kaiwara and
Masthenahalli of Chikkaballapur District together as a Transitional Area and
further to specify such Areas as the Town Panchayat of Kaiwara as mentioned in
Schedule-A along with the boundaries mentioned in Schedule-B was published as
required by section-3 read with section-4, 9, 349, 351 and 355 of the Karnataka
Municipalities Act, 1964, vide Government Notification No:UDD 118 MLR 2025;
dated 03/09/2025 by providing thirty days time and was published in part-III,
No.539, Karnataka Gazette Extraordinary, dated 04/09/2025 inviting objections
from all persons likely to be affected thereby on or before thirty days from the date
of publication of the above Notification.
And whereas the Notification was made available to the public on the day of
publication;
And whereas no objection/suggestion has been received within the stipulated
period;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section-3, 4, 9, 349,
351 and 355 of the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964, the Hon’ble Governor,
hereby declare the Grama Panchayat Area of Kaiwara and Masthenahalli of
Chikkaballapur District together as mentioned in Schedule–A, along with the

boundaries mentioned in Schedule–B, as the “Transitional Area” and further
specify such area to be the “Town Panchayat of Kaiwara” having regard to:
1. The population of such area is not less than ten thousand and not more than
twenty thousand;
2. The density of population in such area is not less than four hundred
inhabitants to one square kilometer of area;
3. The percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities is not less than
fifty per cent of the total employment.

The proposed Kaiwara-Mastenahalli Grama Panchayat area starts from Survey
No.42 of Battiganahalli village east of Kaiwara village and passes through the
southern side of the said survey number up to Bangalore-Chintamani road and
from there turns west and passes through Survey No.61, 47, 49 of Battiganahallı
village and turns south in 49 and turns west in Survey No.50/2 and turns south
in Survey No.50/1, 51/4, 52, 53, 56. After 1 turns south and passes through
Survey No.187, 189, 190 of Kaiwara village and then passes through Lake Survey
No.39 of Banahalli village and then turns west and passes through Survey No.41,
43, 44, 50, 57, 66 and reaches Lake Survey No. in 32, it goes southwest and turns
south in Survey No.34, 33 and reaches Survey No.52, 53, 54, 55, 57 and then goes
west and turns south in Survey No.58 and turns west in Survey No.62 and then
goes south in Survey No.63 and turns west in Survey No.68 and goes to Survey
No.69, 70 and turns northwest in Survey No.71 and joins the Mattenahalli border
through Survey No.71, 72, 74, 77, 76 and turns west in Survey No.36 and goes up
to Survey No.85, 84, 82, 81, 8. 7 of Jangamaseegahalli (Sheegehalli) village and
turns north in Survey No.7 and reaches Survey No.6, 5. 3, 2. Proceed through
Survey No. 1, turn northeast, pass through Survey No.79. 45, 46, 47, turn east,
pass through Survey No.77 of Kereya, turn north, pass through Survey No.36 of
Mattenahalli village, then through Survey No.54, turn east, pass through Survey

No.75 of Hulugummanahalli village, then turn northeast, pass through Survey
No.74 of Guttahalli village, pass through Survey No.75, 82. 18, 17, 20, 21 then
turn east, pass through Survey No.22, then turn south, pass through Survey
No.23, 24, 25, 26, 28, 29, pass through Survey No.34, pass through Survey No.29
of Bodaguru village, then turn east, pass through Survey No.86 of Kaiwara village.
It passes through Shamarao Hospet Survey No.08 and then turns south and ends
at Battiganahalli Survey No.42 at the same survey number.
