NOTIFICATION
Whereas the Notification to declare the Grama Panchayat Area of Allipur of
Chikkaballapur District as a Transitional Area and further to specify such Areas
as the Town Panchayat of Allipur as mentioned in Schedule-A along with
boundaries mentioned in Schedule-B was published as required by section-3 read
with section-4, 9, 349 and 355 of the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964, vide
Government Notification No:UDD 110 MLR 2025; dated 03/09/2025 by providing
thirty days time and was published in part-III, No.540, Karnataka Gazette
Extraordinary, dated 04/09/2025 inviting objections from all persons likely to be
affected thereby on or before thirty days from the date of publication of the above
Notification.
And whereas the Notification was made available to the public on the day of
publication;
And whereas the objections/suggestions received within the stipulated period
have been verified;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section-3, 4, 9, 349 and
355 of the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964, the Hon’ble Governor, hereby
declare the Grama Panchayat Area of Allipur, Chikkaballapur District as
mentioned in Schedule–A, along with boundaries mentioned in Schedule–B, as the
“Transitional Area” and further specify such area to be the “Town Panchayat Area
of Allipur” having regard to:
1. The population of such area is not less than ten thousand and not more than
twenty thousand;
2. The density of population in such area is not less than four hundred
inhabitants to one square kilometer of area;
3. The percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities is not less than
fifty per cent of the total employment.

towards the eastern boundary of Maratipalya, turning southwards, passing
through the boundary of Survey No.72, turning northwards, passing through
the boundary of Survey No.73, 20 turning westwards, passing through the
boundary of Survey No.21, 31, passing through the boundary of Survey No. 18,
turning southwards and turning westwards. Proceeding south through Survey
