NOTIFICATION

Whereas the Notification to include some Survey Numbered Areas into the

present City Municipal Corporation of Vijaypur as mentioned in Schedule-A along

with the boundaries mentioned in Schedule-B was published as required by

section-3 and 4 of the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act 1976, vide

Government Notification No:UDD 348 MLR 2024; dated 27/11/2025 by providing

thirty days time and was published in part-III, No.764, Karnataka Gazette

Extraordinary, dated 27/11/2025 inviting objections from all persons likely to be

affected thereby on or before thirty days from the date of publication of the above

Notification.

And whereas the Notification was made available to the public on the day of

publication;

And whereas objections/suggestions received within the stipulated period

have been verified;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section-3 and 4 of the

Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976, the Hon’ble Governor, hereby declare

the Survey Numbered Areas and the present City Municipal Corporation of

Vijaypur, Vijaypur District as mentioned in Schedule–A, along with the boundaries

mentioned in Schedule–B, as a “Larger Urban Area” and further specify such area

as the “City Municipal Corporation of Vijaypur” having regard to:

The population of such area is not less than three lakhs;

ii.

The density of population in such area is not less than three thousand

inhabitants to one square kilo meter of area;

iii.

The revenue generated for local administration from such area from tax

and non-tax sources in the year of the last preceding census is not less

than rupees six crore per annum or a sum calculated at the rate of rupees

two hundred per capita per annum, whichever is higher;

iv.

The percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities is not less

than fifty per cent of the total employment.

NORTH: The Northern boundary of Vijayapur city corporation starts from point "P"

North-West corner of R.S no.214 of Bhutnal village and running towards East along

Northern boundary of R.S no. 214, 215, 224, 225, 226, 5, 6 and 7 and then turns

Northwards along the Western boundary of R.S no 11, 12, 13 and then turns

Eastwards along the Northern boundary of R.S no 13, 14, 20, 21, 22, 55 and joins

South-West corner of R.S.no 57 and runs along Hubli-Sholapur road along the

Western boundary of R.S no 57,then runs towards East along the Northern

boundary of R.S no 57,58,59,60 and ends at the North-East corner of R.S. no 61

of same Bhutnal village.

EAST: The Eastern boundary of Vijayapur city corporation starts from North East

corner of R.S.no 61 Jof Bhutnal village and runs in Southern direction along the

Eastern boundary of R.S.no 61, 62, 63, 71, 72, 73, and 81 and then turns East

ward and runs along the Northern boundary of R.S.no 162,164,167 of Hanchanal

P.H village and then turns towards South and runs along the Eastern boundary

R.S no 167, 166, 157,146, 140, 138. 122. 116, 115, 113 and ends at the North-

East corner of R.S no 94, and then turns East along the Northern boundary of R.S

no 93, 91 and then turns South along the Eastern boundary of R.S.no 91and then

continues along Northern boundary of R.S no 92.88 and then turns South along

East boundary of R.S.no 88, 87, 83 and joins at North-West corner of R.S no 81.

Then it runs Eastward direction along the Northern boundary of R.S no 81, 73 and

SOUTH: The Southern boundary of Vijayapur city corporation starts from R.S no

270 South-East corner of Vijayapur kasaba village and runs along Westward along

Southern boundary of R.S no 270, 271, 272, 273, 274, 363 and join at South-East

corner of R.S no 645. Then it turns Southward along Eastern boundary of R.S no

645, 365 and turns along Southern boundary of R.S no 646, 647 and end at

Southern tip of 647, From there it runs Northern direction along Western boundary

of 647 and then it runs along Southern boundary of R.S no 368, 373, 377, 378,

379, 382, 383, 387, 388, 391, 394 and end at South-West corner of R.S no 395 of

Vijayapur kasaba village. It then runs Northward and runs along Western
