NOTIFICATION

Whereas the Government of Karnataka proposed to amend Notification No SARIE

100 SAEPA 2013 Dated: 30.09.2014, to extend BTS scheme to the area of the Greater

Bengaluru Authority and surrounding areas up to 40 Km from its boundary. Accordingly a

draft Notification was published as required by sub-section (2) of section 102 of the Motor

vehicles Act 1988 (Central Act No 59 of 1988), read with section 21 of the Karnataka General

Clauses Act, 1899 (Karnataka Act No. III of 1899), after giving an opportunity of being heard

to the State transport undertaking and any person who is likely to be affected, in Notification

No. TD 167 TDO 2025, dated:18.09.2025, in part IVA, No 601 of the Karnataka Gazette

extraordinary dated:19.09.2025 inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to

be affected within thirty days from the date of its publication in the official Gazette.

And whereas the said Gazette was made available to public on 19.09.2025.

And whereas no objections or suggestions have been received by the State

Government.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 102

of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act No 59 of 1988), read with section 21 of the

Karnataka General Clauses Act, 1899 (Karnataka Act No. III of 1899), the Government of

Karnataka hereby makes the following amendment to the Notification No. SARIE 100 SAEPA

2013, Dated:30.09.2014, namely:-

In Notification No. SARIE 100 SAEPA 2013 Dated: 30.09.2014, in the table, for the

column ‘A’ and the entries relating thereto the following shall be substituted-

intermediate

points or the area in

relation

to

which

the

scheme is approved.

The area in relation to which the scheme is approved is the

area covered by limits of the Greater Bengaluru Authority

(GBA) and also the neighboring places situated upto 40

kms from the limits of the boundaries of the Greater

Bengaluru Authority.
