NOTIFICATION

1.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 29 of the Greater Bengaluru

Governance Act, 2024, the delimitation of 50 wards of newly established Bengaluru

East City Corporation in the Greater Bengaluru area was published vide Notification

No: UDD 290 BBS 2025 dated 19-11-2025 and Government Amendment Notification

No. UDD 290 BBS 2025, dated 01-12-2025.

In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-sections (3) and (4) of section 29

of the Greater Bengaluru Governance Act, 2024 and in accordance with the guidelines

issued vide Government Order No.: UDD 240 BBS 2025, dated: 19-12-2025 and on

the basis of the 2011 Census, the draft ward-wise reservation for 50 wards in the

Bengaluru East City Corporation is hereby notified and published for the information

of general public.

In respect of Bengaluru East City Corporation, the draft details of numbers of

wards reservation are published in Kannada and English languages in Annexure-1 and

Annexure-2 respectively. Total number of wards is mentioned in Column 1 of the table

and Columns 2,3,4,5 and 6 of the table are reservation numbers of Scheduled Caste,

Scheduled Tribe, Backward “A” Category and Backward “B” Category and General

Category respectively and the numbers mentioned in brackets are the seats reserved for

women out of the seats of each category.

In respect of Bengaluru East City Corporation, the draft ward-wise reservation

is published in Kannada and English languages respectively in Annexure-3 and

Annexure-4, in which the number and name of the concerned assembly constituency is

mentioned in Column-2, the number and name of the ward in Column-3 and the draft

ward-wise reservation in Column-4.

The persons who are aggrieved by the aforesaid ward-wise reservation may

submit their objections with reasons in writing in the letter format given in Annexure-

5 along with their full address, signature and suitable reasons/explanations to the

Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Urban Development Department, Room

No: 436, 4th floor, Vikasa Soudha, Bengaluru-560 001, within 15 (Fifteen) days from

the date of publication of this notification in the Special State Gazette of Karnataka,

i.e. on 23-01-2026 by 5.30 PM.

5.

The Objections /suggestions received within the stipulated period will be

considered and action will be taken to finalize the ward wise reservation.
