NOTIFICATION

Whereas the draft of the following rules further to amend the Karnataka State Civil

Services (Recruitment of Persons Awarded with Medals at Olympics, Paralympics, Asian

Games, Para Asian Games and Commonwealth Games to Certain Posts) (Special) Rules, 2023

was published as required by clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Karnataka State

Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990), in Notification No: DPAR 204 SRR 2022

dated: 18.06.2025, in Part-IV-A of the Karnataka Gazette Extra Ordinary dated: 18.06.2025

inviting objections or suggestions from all the persons likely to be affected thereby within

fifteen days from the date of its publication in the official Gazette.

And, whereas the said Gazette was made available to the public on dt:18.06.2025.

Whereas, no objections and Suggestions have been received in this behalf by the

Government.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3

read with section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of

1990), the Government of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules, namely:-

RULES

1. Title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka State Civil

Services (Recruitment of Persons Awarded with Medals at Olympics, Paralympics, Asian

Games, Para Asian Games and Commonwealth Games to Certain Posts) (Special)

(Amendment) Rules, 2026.

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official

Gazette.

2. Amendment of the Schedule.-In the Karnataka State Civil Services (Recruitment of

Persons Awarded with Medals at Olympics, Paralympics, Asian Games and Commonwealth

Games to Certain Posts) (Special) Rules, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in

the Schedule,-

(i) serial numbers 3,7,8 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted; and

(ii) in the English version of the said rules, after serial number 22, the following shall

be inserted, namely:-
